Hey all -

Doing a trunk lid (not deck lid, but the actual trunk lid) swap with a local guy who has spoiler delete Ruby GT. The removal of the trunk lid looks pretty straight forward, but wanted to see if anyone has any insights/recommendations.

If you've removed the trunk of your car, love to hear any feedback or advice.

Thanks!

If I can do it, you can. The only tricky part was removing the panel with the badge on it. I looked at how-to vids for removal of the panel and they suggested using a plastic pry tool to pull the panel off. Taping off the painted part and digging the tool in between the taped off painted bit and panel. I wasn't comfortable with that so I slid the tool behind the panel and trunk lid, where damage wouldn't be visible and with a little force it popped off easily enough, without risking the paint on the panel.

Other than that, pretty easy. I did manage to install the back up camera upside down. lol Had to go back in to fix that. I should clarify, I wasn't replacing with an OE lid, but a carbon fiber, bare bones lid.
