I'm sure many installing FI don't really give a damn about gas mileage, but out of curiousity :)

"generally" what have you been experiencing in terms of gas mileage change after installing and tuning?

Currently, my stock gas mileage sucks around city. I have been really babying the car lately to see if my 13.5 avg after 1000 was a user issue (heavy shoes). I'm now up to 17 after 2900 with a 900 mile road trip thrown in.

If the FI improves gas mileage, that is more "convincing the sweetie" chips for this must have upgrade.

LOL

I get absolutely horrible gas mileage because I can't keep my foot out of it. Whipple here. I took a highway trip though and it was the same gas mileage as my bolt on tune. Better than stock stock.

I saw about a 2-3MPG hit with similar driving habits. I get to where I need to be a hair faster, though. I'm preparing myself for the single digits I'm going to get with E85.

So what you are saying is, the Whipple feels soooo good that you lack self control and drive like a maniac, therefore your mileage is getting worse.

Conclusion - FI improves gas mileage

I get 10mpg NA with 3.31s because I lack the self control to not hit the gas. I can't imagine having a whipple. I'd probably get 3mpg

I "CAN" get 23 - 24 on a road trip if I stay around 70-75 mph. My car has 3600 miles on it and had been FI since 1500. Trip 2 has never been reset and shows 17 mpg average.

I went from 21 mpg when stock on my daily commute to 17 mpg with the Procharger. It must take some decent hp to spin that geared blower. It's always spinning and making boost, just sends it out the surge valve if throttle plate is not open.

Miles per gallon go down, smiles per gallon go up. Worth it.

Are you staying with the 3.73 running the whipple?
No, I am going to have them swapped out in a few weeks. I am going to have 3.31s installed at the same time that I have my clutch replaced.
