If i get 19x8.5" wheels, would a 275 tire fit on them? If so, would they bulge out?

Yes, that is overkill for a 8.5 wheel. I'd go with a 245 or a 255 if you really want some extra rubber.

Get wder wheels.

According to Michelin's specs, the minimum recommended wheel width for a 275-width tire is 9.0 inches. 9.5 would be even better.
