Hey guys I know first post but I'll be spending most of my time In this area of the forum

Picking up a 17gt/pp this Tuesday and plan to do a lot of lapping with it.

My plan is the Ford track suspension kit and a 19x10.5 +40 square setup running re71r 275/40r19 (They run wide)

Has anyone done this with stock untouched fenders?

I'd like to go the limit of my class and run a 295 trofeos r but I don't think that will fit?

Thanks for the info much appreciated

You'll need a small spacer to run a 10.5" and +40, at least a 5 mm. You'll be close on touching fenders but should be ok. FYI 285/35R19 would be a better fit on the 10.5, and gains you a lot of tread width, even with the RE71Rs running wide. Just a thought.

Go to a +35. That should give you plenty of room for 285s. 295s will probably work, but might need a small spacer up front.

Get some camber plates when you get the Track Pack. Otherwise you can't get enough front camber to not burn up the outside of the front tires when driven hard.

Camber bolts work too to get more camber, but they make the tight tire to front strut clearance worse. But if you stick with 275 tires they will probably be OK.

I've always run a 1/2" stretch on re71s and have had great steering response, I'd rather have a tighter sidewall for more feedback than outright grip,

Not a fan of camber bolts will loose too much clearance.

19x11 with 2 degrees of camber? Really?? Jesus I chose the right car lol

Is there a good camber plate kit that will work on stock style springs/struts and not eat up too much travel?

You guys are awesome I appreciate the info

Maxim Motorsports Camber plates work.

You can get 19 x 11's on the front of a GT with 305's if you run 2 degrees of camber.
But you can't do it with a truly square setup that I have seen. Need different offset front & rear, or big spacers up front.

I run a 19x11 +55 305 square set up. I think my front spacer is 25mm.
I have JRI coil overs as well.

305 MPSS on 19x11 ET50 6GR square and tracked on road courses this year with Whipple at 600-650 RWHP.
305 NT01 on 18x11 APEX ET55 square as track only tire.
Base GT suspension, stock front camber, 24mm thru spacers on 610-530 Dorman studs, fender supports cut and extended 0.75" with front bumper support rolled down and forward.

Spacers are used in Conti and Pirelli series. Spacers for use in motorsports are very common as long as you have extended studs going completely through the spacer and never any hidden nuts sandwiched between the wheel and hub.

Never use "add on" Aluminum spacers that result in a hidden nut sandwiched between the wheel and hub.

I'm running 19x10 squared w/35 offset. 295/35 Continental ExtremeSport Contact. Fits perfect.
