I've tried NGK, Denso, and Brisk. I like the NGKs the best. The Densos are good but appear to wear really fast.
To decrease the gap, it'd lightly tap them on a block of wood. You'll get a feel for it. Gap them to 0.026 too.
As far as time goes, probably about thirty minutes. It's not hard at all.
