Hey Fellas -

Can I run Cup2s hard for 20-30 minutes in a row on the track? Or would I be smart to come off for a cool down in between?

Weather will be 15-25c (59-77).

Thanks!

The type of track will probably determin the answer, my local track is very hard on tires with lots of turns, once I get the pressures right I ,m ok for about 15 minutes but I am on trofeo r tires, should be similar with the cup 2s. On a less tire demanding track I think with proper pressures 25min should be fine

Ford did a 24 hour durability test on them. If the Cup2 couldn't hold up to 30 minute sessions, then they would have to change tires 48 times in that test. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Monitor your tire pressure and try to keep your hot pressure around 34. For me, that is cold temp at 25. Make sure your alignment is dialed in. I have -2 degrees camber set and that is about perfect. I drive pretty hard and my tire wear is dead even across the width of the tire with consistent grip for 30 min sessions.

MM plates. Rest of alignment is Ford track alignment R specs and it's dialed in. I also got a bit more rear camber to align with Ford specs.....about -1.4. Rear tire wear is perfect too.

I've read a few older threads stating the Cup2s were on sale at $1300 a set for our GT350/Rs. Anyone know the best deal on these right Now? I have a set of 6Gs r-spec looking for tires to complement them.
