For those of you who have upgraded to a single 1-piece full length driveshaft (aluminum or carbon fiber), can you please offer up the following input for us S550 owners seeking the same:

After the installation there was any improvement with NVH or the common driveline vibration issue?

What brand did you go with?
What type (aluminum vs carbon fiber)?
What was your reason to upgrade?
Do you have any other IRS improvement parts installed?

I have seen some folks re-offer their upgraded driveshafts for sale - just wondering if the $700-$1200 upgrade is really justifiable AND if there's any remarkable differences or improvements over the stock 2-piece design.

I have an aluminum one, while I like how I could feel the reduced mass I don't think I'd do it all over again. Nvh sucks. Don't believe people telling you "theirs" didn't get any additional nvh. They all do add nvh, some people are just oblivious to it and not as sensitive. The nvh comes from a poor fixed stock s550 pinion angle from what I've been told by a few vendors.

Can the angle be "alleviated" by lowering the engine? That's what I want to know.

DSS and DynoTech
Both aluminum
Weight reduction is nice, but primary reason was to eliminate the guibo.
Subframe bushing lockouts and braces. Poly diff bushings. Spherical LCA bushings.

There is more noise. I like it.

Shaft masters aluminum, much better price than DSS at 600 new I love it, but I also race a lot so less weight is the main goal

I emailed them and they told me they're still testing. Waiting on this, myself, before I make a buy decision.

What brand did you go with? Dynotech

What type (aluminum vs carbon fiber)? Aluminum

What was your reason to upgrade? Lighter, better acceleration, was going to FI and didn't want to break shit ... (I still broke shit, just not the driveshaft).

Do you have any other IRS improvement parts installed? Vertical links, subframe connectors

I have dynotech aluminum, it balanced perfectly after a 180 degree reclock.. I have no noise from it because i still have all the stock rubber bushings. I stiffened up the rear with steeda parts, and i have zero wheel hop. it tracks perfectly wot from a dig ...i have a stifflers ds loop as well. I couldnt be happier with the way my car runs... Reason for upgrade, a complete n/a build, and I didn't want that metal anaconda of a stock driveshaft transferring power to my rear....I'm no engineer but i know what a pos version of a driveshaft looks like!

DSS in CF on my manual ecoboost. I added it to drop weight.

There was less nvh after install.

I have mine for sale still if you have a manual EB.

Only selling it because I sold the car.

I plan on adding the DynoTech Aluminum to mine soon, I have the factory vibration so if the aftermarket one peice vibrates guess I wont care as much since ill have the strength I need for my future track plans were as of now I have vibration and no other advantage with it.

Sorry to pop in but where is everyone getting the Dynotech aluminum driveshafts for the GT for $500-$600? I can only find them for about a $1000.
