Just upgraded shifter now I'm looking at half shafts and drive shafts. Not sure which one I should do first.

If you don't have forced air, then get a driveshaft. Don't need either, though.

I will be doing boost for sure but want to build the car first. And I don't want to break a a shaft at the track. Lol the drive shaft is more for power transfer and lighter rotating mass. I know it can handle the power. So I'm guessing the shafts would be the best first. Lol

If you track the car with good rubber, I would do the halfs first.

Ya. I have the PP and I think instead of blowing a ton of money on slicks I am just going to upgrade the halfs, a lot cheaper running radials. I think if you plan on launching the car with good tires axles should definitely be the first one to upgrade as they are more likely to fail. A lot less likely on the autos than the M6 though.

I run Hoosier 28x10 slicks and they aren't that expensive. Are you going to run your dr's on a second set of wheels?

Slicks are easier on the m6 drivetrain.

I don't want to run rears without fronts because I hear it's pretty sketchy with slicks. I think I'd like to be able to run drag radials that I can just toss on and drive to the track.

I priced a set awhile back and for front runners and rears bias-ply was $2,500 or so.

My plan is to find a set of used half shafts and rear set of DR. Seems like it would be much cheaper. I don't go to the drag enough to justify spending a ton of money but would like something for when I do.

What setup do you have? Another $650 or so I imagine. I was debating the Mickey Thompson Drag radials and set of 17's. I heard radials are better than slicks on these cars because of the weight.

Right now my car is in the shop having DSS 1400 hp axles, DSS D.S., Steeda Braces, bushings and more to get ready for the track. I want to see if I can hit an 11 second run.

Sorry about posting this in someone else's thread.

That's a awesome idea! I just remember in my research that Dr's are harder on the m6 than the a6.

I went with slicks just to protect the whole drivetrain. When I did the math slicks, mnh front runners and race stars where cheaper than axles, drag radials and 2 rims.
