It should support the '17. You probably just need to update the firmware on it.

contacted sct and they told me the 17s are custom tuning only, not pre -loaded tunes.

So they said the x4 won't work on 17 Mustangs?

Nvm I understand what you mean. No preloaded tunes but it will still work for Lund or other custom tunes.

They work on 2017 mustangs for north america. Pre-loaded tunes on SCT device not working yet for the 2017, but custom tune file from a vendor loaded onto the SCT x4 and flashed still works. I have a buddy who recently did the same thing. Pre-loaded SCT tune didn't work for him but one he ordered did.
