Been working with my local dealerships, and they all seem to be landing around 45k OTD for a '16 GT Convertible in the configuration I want.

2016 Mustang GT Premium Convertible
Ruby Red Metallic
Ebony Racing Stripes
Premier Trim with Color Accent Group - Redline Interior
401A
GT Performance Package
Reverse Sensing System
Voice Activated Navigation
MSRP: $49,190

Also regarding price, It seems a bit high, even if it's about in line with X-Plan.

One quoted me $41,653 before TTL, and 45k OTD.
Another initially was around 45.5k w/ X-Plan before TTL. I told them of the other dealership, and they said they could get around 45k OTD. I still feel that it's a little high.

They would have to order this car. Any thoughts from others?

you don't have snow there, so why not? plus it will take some time for the vehicle to be delivered. It could be spring before you get it. Or is this a question purely about price?

both. unsure on the price. and then feeling crazy for ordering in the winter when i might get lucky and there could be no snow, or we get socked bad like last winter and the Mustang would be sitting in the driveway.

Awww, life is hard when you can't drive your new mustang.
Price is not bad. I got 5K below MSRP on my GT/CS.

I'm not overly bothered by the potentiality of it, just the Mid Atlantic is really finicky about weather in the winter months. it could be one way or another.

At least everything won't be frozen and roads covered in black ice like the midwest for 4 months.

Not silly at all man. Besides, you won't be driving it only in December, lol.

Hopefully I'm picking up a vert in December - I have gloves and ear muffs so I should be good to go!

 Silly...hmmmm. I'll have to get back to you on that as I just got my Ruby GT PP convertible a month ago. Hopefully we'll have an easier than average Mid-Atlantic winter.

BTW - great choice!!

I had this sticker on my S2K (on the small, clear windscreen between the seats):

I'd say the sentiment is applicable to a Mustang as well :D

Can't comment on the price, but don't hesitate on the convertible. Personally, I couldn't see getting a car like this without it being a convertible. The car isn't great in the winter anyway, so it's awesome being able to put the top down when the weather is nice. There's nothing like it, and that configuration looks amazing!
