Hey guys

I have MAK cat deletes, and MBRP race exhaust. It's now cold as shit out about 30 degrees F, and when the heat is full blast at a stop I smell exhaust sometimes? Is it just the cold weather and the wind blowing the exhaust around that it gets in? I bought a carbon monoxide detector as a precaution and I use it frequently while driving or in the car to monitor. Sometimes it jumps to 1PPM, other times at cold start it'll go to 9PPM and then drop as I drive. If the windows are down it goes to 0 obviously. Debating getting cats again. Looked up carbon monoxide doses and it says 35PPM for 6-8 hours will only cause a headache. My normal drives are max 45 minutes day to day. Only other mod is a steeda CAI. Still have sound tube.

You'll be fine. My catless headers stink up my car at a red light too. I try lowering my heater or turning it off sometimes until I get moving again. I'm sure those around me at a red light hate it too.

The exhaust has been trickling in the whole time, just now without cats you can smell it. As someone answered in the other thread you asked the same thing if youre that worried about it make sure to turn the system to recirculate so it doesn't pull in outside air.

Thanks for the answers guys. I wish I did a control test of the levels before the cat deletes, cause there might have just been the same levels, except I couldn't smell it before. The CO levels I've been reading are almost negligent, but I'm a worry wort.

Catless on 93 was pretty stinky inside the car. It's much more pleasant smelling now on E-85. Two days ago, my 5 year old daughter asked me "Daddy why does it smell liked popped corn in here?" I laughed.

Heck that's the main reason I'm going e85. Just for this reason.
