Anybody change their oil after the first 1500 miles?
Just hit the mark today since I got her on 7/3/2017.

Nice ride. I originally wanted mind in lightning blue but got a better deal on black. Did my first oil change at 7500. Manual says you can wait until 10,000 though.

I do mine at the 1st 1k miles on any new vehicle then from there on when the computer tells me to. I do it at 1k cause it just makes me feel better, I have no proof it helps or not.

I also take into consideration the build date, if it was built in Oct '16 that oil has been sitting in there for a year. Mileage wise probably doesn't need it, but I would it change it out every year on a low mileage car.

You can change the oil as early as you like. If it gives you piece of mind change it now. Otherwise wait till the OLM tells you to change it.

Your engine won't know the difference either way. It's whatever option will make you happiest.

My car had the original oil in it since it's build date on April 2015 and wasn't changed until 5200km on August 2016. Oil is more durable than you'd think.

Car doesn't burn a drop of oil and the oil still actually looked pretty clean as well.

I changed it after the first 2k miles just for peace of mind.
After that I just change it when the oil life system tell me 25% oil life left.

When I worked from home and didn't drive much, I changed it about every 6 months, regardless of mileage.

Did mine after the first 1000 miles, but it’s all up to you! I wanted to switch to full synthetic after the break in period so I picked 1000 miles as the time to do it.

changed it when i got home. warmed it up and wot pulls in 4th... cooldown.. repeat. changed it again. did the same thing again the next day. Really whats $50 for an oil change all things considered?

theres one fact when it comes to oil changes. There is no downside to changing it sooner besides cost.

Did my first at 3000 miles.
To be honest, it doesn't really matter.

I did my first OC at 1300 miles. Switched to Penz Ultra Platinum. I disassembled the original oil filter to see what was trapped in the filter media. I found nothing, even under a strong light and magnifier. The original filter is tiny... going to start using the bigger Ford performance unit as there is much more filtering surface area among other benefits
