Hi all.

Just so we are all on the same page, I want to make sure you are all aware of the details involved in these two valances:

GT350 Valance
  • This is a factory part, and retails around $1100.
  • It has silver tips that are built into the valance. Therefore, if you want black tips, this option does not get you that. The exhaust tailpipes do not attach to the tips, they float free a couple inches away from them.
  • A Premium package is required to allow direct fitment to the rear bumper.

Roush Valance
  • This is an aftermarket part and retails around $200.
  • No tips are built into it, so you have the choice of silver or black finish, and tips would be part of the exhaust (they would bolt on the tailpipes).
  • This valance works with both the Premium and base models of the S550.

Does this change your votes at all?

Speed dial is definitely needed for Terry. He is one fast fella.

Hey Josh,
Does this include the GT350 Rear Valance made by Anderson Composites?
Thanks for asking, Will.

My question within the poll was to initially gauge the you all on whether ya like the looks of the Roush valance vs the GT350 valance, and whether the willingness to pay for a genuine valance is there... or not.

Knowing there are options available for replica valances that are less than the genuine's price tag... they also allow aftermarket tip configurations to be ran v.s. using the floating style.

Thus far it's pretty apparent the GT350 valance is favored regarding looks over the Roush valance.

But what is everyone truly purchasing and installing -- a genuine valance with floaters, or replica aka GT350 style valances with branded tips?

Discuss! :clap2:

For me it would be the replica from Anderson Composites.
Since it will be easier to paint and be able to use a set of y'alls black tips.

(And my wife is waiting for me to swap my current catback out. So it can go on hers =) )

My plan is for the genuine valance with branded tips. The floaters can be removed. Its also why I selected an axle-back with tips that were removable. That way I could later upgrade the valance without the need of being stuck with an exhaust I didn't care for, just a tip change would be needed.

If there was a gt350 style valence that you could easily use aftermarket exhaust you would win the Internet

I got the OEM GT350 from a friend. And actually chose to change the tips. I like that freedom to choose.

I went with the factory 350 valance. Corsa Sport from a GT along with 3" to 4" quad tips fit perfectly in place of the 350 fake tips, which were easily removed.
