Not everyone has the good fortune, desire or ability of welcoming the all new 2015 S550 in their stable :D - for those who are waiting, I was thinking about potential updates/changes to the car in 16 and more likely 17/18. Here's what I got in no particular order, feel free to add or comment below!

- DI for the GT (probably worth 450 at crank)
- 2.7L EB engine (and of course the GT350) with V6 being retired
- heated and flat bottom steering wheel (like the updated Focus ST)
- HUD
- Glass roof or sunroof
- Auto with PP
- 8 speed auto
- Updated MFT on different software platform
- New colors (with potentially TY and CO going away)
- Heated recaros
- City braking/collision mitigation
- Headlights that turn with the steering wheel
- Mild suspension tweaks
- added from comments below : magnetic shocks, rev matching in manual, torsen and brembo in EB.

Out of those the heated Recaros, heated steering and HUD appeal to me the most followed by the glass roof although I do see myself hesitating to add 30 pounds to the roof if push comes to shove! i dont know if the heated wheel and HUD can be retrofitted and if its worth it.

The engine I think should be plenty 'as is' for me and gains if needed should come easier than the already stout 5.0 in the S197's (ex: 430 at the wheel with bolt ons today)

Ford are working with GM on 9-speed (FWD) and 10-speed (RWD) autos..........so it'll be a 10-speed up next for Mustang :)

I'm really going to miss the ST's cornering lights... It's subtle, but it helps with dark parking lots and just looks cool.

I think a glass roof would be nice, preferably one that slides open (wasn't the old glass roof fixed? I can't remember)

HUD has always been a GM thing, but with companies like BMW, Hyundai and Audi getting into it maybe there's a chance. It would definitely be a cool feature.

Rev-matching downshifts for the manual. The 370Z and Corvette have this feature and I think it's pretty nifty. I can downshift just fine, but my feet are too big to heel-toe (or maybe I just haven't found a good way yet...).

Torsen diff and Brembo brakes for the ecoboost. I mean, I'm pretty sure the people who buy an EB PP are just as spirited drivers as GT owners.

I don't see why people wish for a HUD... guess they never had a car with it, & learned to hate it.

I had it in my first car, a Bonneville SSEi. I absolutely loved it.

Because looking down at a dial is so hard... or because it in your FOV all the time..? Or, because it looks kewl and that what driving is all about..?

Alright, in all seriousness it was mainly just a cool feature. I liked having the speed on my windshield. Sure, I could look down at my speedo but why bother when you have it right in front of you?

I can see having a gear indicator and maybe a shift light in the HUD. Anything else to me would seem a distraction. Just my 2 cents.

I want a big-ass tachometer projected onto my windshield. :D
