Take it to the dealer, but if it isnt below the L mark when cold then dont bother.

It is currently just below the low when cold. Id like.to do it myself rather than cost an arm and a leg at the dealer

It should be done under warranty.

And besides if you go with aftermarket you will need to change the entire lot, and to buy it from fraud will be super expensive.

Hey snake bite,
Yes Enoch is correct (you'll find it in your service logbook/CAWS Guide) that Ford recommend the use of coolant meeting Ford specification WSS-M97B44-D2.
You can find this in the "Capacities and Specifications" section :)

Thanks Shahni I popped into my dealership on the way home and purchased this coolant which they told me would do the job no problem and is compatible with what is already in it :ford:

Remember it's concentrate so you need to mix it with distilled at the correct ratio

I had the same problem about 3 months ago. I have upgraded my radiator tank lost a bit of fluid.

When I called my dealer and they were telling me it has to be the green one from their internal spec sheet... Though I told them its the orange one but they insisted they need to flush the whole radiator. Will cost a whopping 2xx

So I called a random 2nd dealer, requesting just the orange fluid, and they tell me there is only 5L concentrated bottle which again cost like a 1xx.

I really had no words, so I left a generous 3 star on google review for my dealer. Amazingly the dealer had someone following this up. Promised to find out what is going on, but never got a call back.

Eventually I have found that out myself.

Dealer services seem to have lost professional competences in many ways.

The sales managers I bought the car from, keep telling me there is a v6 version of Mustang which is the middle range while the ecoboost is the low end, but v6 was not coming to Australia. I tried to correct him about 3 times, and he insisted. So from then on, I realize ill just keep these things to myself, they are not really interested in the cars after all.

And a few months later, that sale manager has already resigned...

Yeah the dealer experience varies wildly. The dealer had the 5lt for $67 and the 1 lt for $28
, l only need a splash so went for the 1lt.

I reckon adding a bit of straight distilled water would cause no issues whatsoever, as it would hardly change the dilution ratio of the overall contents. Even as much as 200ml I reckon would make sweet stuff-all difference, as the coolant system cap pressure is a whopping 21psi, which brings the coolant boiling point WAY up!
