They say to use it when the temp dips below 15 degrees Celsius.
That makes no sense! 15'C is summer temps up here :D

You only need a block heater if you leaving your car outside overnight and the temp dips below -15 degrees Celsius. Where are you located? It comes free in all Canadian mustangs
Ahh! Now I see ;) Still curious to as why my Northern European EB didn't have a block heater OR the option to order one... Thankfully the days with temps below -15'C aren't that plentiful for now... (used to be colder but you know...)

No Cable for the Engine Block Heater

I have a Canadian-spec Mustang GT with an engine block heater but no cable. Might of been taken as this is a used car?

Any idea how much part AR33-6A050-AA costs? This connects a regular household 3-prong outlet to the bizarre, Ford flat 3-prong outlet that I have never seen anywhere before, except inside the bottom of my grill.

If not too expensive, I would like to own it in case I ever need it.

thanks

For those still confused. A bag with this plug should be left in your glove box after your dealers PDI. This plug will plug into your lower grill plug which then you can plug into an electrical outlet to enable the block heater

You should be able to pick one up at your dealership. If they dont have the part they can order it for you.

I was actually quite surprised to find block heater on my car. Here is a picture showing the location of the plug.

I don't know what is going on. Try to click on the icon and then open in a new tab, it should open the picture.
