3.73s in auto s550s are notorious for slowing the car down, 3.31 gears are absolutely best
That seems strange to me since Jeff has 3.15 gears and he was less than 2 tenths faster on E85 in better DA compared to my run on 93. You guys might be right but I am not sure you have enough data to make that call. I can throw the 3.15 in my car and see how it goes but I am going to see what the 3.73 will do first.

I know someone who threw 3.73 in his auto coyote ran 93 octane but had cobra jet manifold, cold air intake, headers , exhaust and was running consistant low to mid 11s , swapped to 3.31 gears and was running 10.90s. He said 3.73 was getting him into overdrive too quick so it was slowing him down rather then utilizing the power band a little more . Just passing over what I've heard . Give 3.73s a few more runs

That makes sense if the car was going into overdrive but my car is in 4th gear. I am only crossing the line at 7000 so I still have room to grow. I think the 3.73 might hurt me after a stall if it causes traction issues. I do think they may be helping me now since I don't have a stall.

I also let it of it around the 1/8th mile when it shifted, the car jerked to the left a little and I also didn't launch as hard as I wanted to.

When you have a stall , it will get the car into overdrive too quickly instead of utilizing the power band a little more, I've spoke to many auto guys and that's what the deal is from what I hear
I just don't see that happening with a 28 tall tire i'm using shifting at 7300 .. .. Either way I only run the 1/8 mile these days and I think the 3.73s would help my 60 times ..

I think they would help 60ft too unless it spins going to second. I was having traction problems going to second but I was on 19" nto5r and prep was not good. I'm going back on 305 45 17 Mickey e.g. street r

All of the rules below need to be followed or your time will not be included.
This thread is for posting 1/4 mile times and time slips ONLY. Let's save the discussions for other threads.
RULES:

1. Post the details of your quarter-mile pass. Fill in this template and cut/paste it into your post.
Use the modification codes and fast list categories at the bottom of this post.

Vehicle, Trim & Options:
Modifications (if any):
Fast List Category Submitted For:

60'..........................................
330'........................................
660'........................................
660’ mph.................................
1000'......................................
1320'......................................

race weight w/driver:
Name of the track:
Date of pass:
Weather conditions: (include Density Altitude, if known):

You can also use this DA CALCULATOR

2. Upload an image of your time slip directly onto Mustang6G and not a third-party photo service (to ensure the images are never lost).
The full time slip must include the date/time of your pass and identify the track that issued the slip.

3. Track times will not be corrected for weather or track altitude.
Those elements can be noted in the comment portion of the submission to clarify the conditions in which the run was made.

4. If two members submit an identical 1320’ ET to the thousandths of a second, the tiebreaker is the higher 1320’ mph.

5. Only one pass per member will be included in the Leaderboards.

the bolt-on list is about to be trimmed by 1/3
