2016 Mazda 3, loaded. Small but gets the job done and the 40 mpg is nice when I drive 1k+ per week.

Currently have two other dailies:
2006 Toyota Matrix XR - great little car. reliable, 145k miles, never misses a beat. slow like hell. winter beater.

2008 BMW 328I - fun sedan, my sisters old car that I bought off her. some issues, kind of a project. smooth inline-6

Mustang is my race car :headbang:

I mostly drive the Mustang daily, but on really cold/severe weather/snowy/salty days I drive a 2003 Explorer (yawn). Boring, but cheap and it's been reliable.

I daily'd the Mustang for about 5 months then realized that I would like to keep it for a long time. My 55 mile commute wasn't going to allow that so I picked up an S4 to be the work horse.

Precisely why I had to get rid of my Mustang in 2011. Had a 50+ commute everyday, it was going to eat me out of house and home to keep it filled.

I have a mint 06 Jeep Wrangler with 200k miles that I trade time with the Mustang so they're basically co-daily drivers. But I have to really plan ahead because the Jeep and or Mustang stays at my place south of Houston. Once I pick a car for the week I'm pretty much stuck with it until the next weekend.

I just drive the Mustang year around. Swap between snow and summer tires as needed. There was a kid I knew in college that DDed his GTR year around. If I buy a car, its gonna get driven!

The president of our company has a DD Aston Martin Vanquish. He said he's got about 90k miles on it right now.

I DD my mustang but have been contemplating getting the cheapest reliable beater I can find because I'm pushing 14k miles (and 3 nails in tires) in the first 6 months of ownership (started with 8600) and would like to have a reasonable amount of wear on the car after 5 years. As a young'n I have very little need for practicality in my car, when can I simply rely on other people with practical cars 99% of the time when needed. Only issue so far was transporting wheels and tires and conveniently 3 of the factory wheels with mounted tires will fit in the back seat and the 4th goes in the trunk no problem.

As a spin off to the original topic. I would be interested to see a breakdown of people who DD the EB versus DD a GT. I am guessing the percentage (to eliminate sales# differences) of DD EBs would be higher than DD GTs.
