What does the S550 need to equal and surpass the Camaro?

Stock S550 runs 1/4 mile around 12.8-12.9

Stock Camaro 1/4 mile around 12.3-12.4

Intake/Exhaust/Tune get you equal 1/4 mile performance?

Tune and CAI will get you even with the trap speed. Everything else is dependent on the driver and tires.

I just was reading somewhere that the 480 Horse power pack 5.0s still werent beating the 6th Gen Camaro in the 1/4 mile. Some test somewhere, but forgot where I read it. Was some thread on this site.

Tire and driver. If you take a look at a majority of the Lund tune and CAI combos the trap speeds are right up there.

Camaro is 455HP and (the important part) 455 ft/lbs of torque. The Ford Power Packs are not going to get you another 55 ft/lbs.

Losing weight(with all the mods you suggested) couldnt hurt.

Looking forward to taking out the rear seats and finding other ways to lose some pounds.

New lightweight wheels for sure, those PP 19's are anchors at 33 pounds a piece. Rear seat is a good removal, light weight rotots, light weight battery, exhaust to remove the suitcase, and a lighter driveshaft. Just read the whole what weighs what thread for the 30 plus pages on the shitter.

Sarcasm yes. Intake and tune level the playing field. I run 11.5-11.6. When adding headers, stall and tires on top of that. I've never lost anything to a 6th gen Camaro yet. And me and the wife are at the track a lot.
