Tire recommendations?

i have a 2015 v6 with 18" wheels. I wore out the back wheels pretty quick. I live in NorCal and it rains in the winter is really hot in the summer. I want a good balance between long lasting tires and at least some cornering ability. Would anyone else here recommend tire brand/model?

Firestone firehawk indy 500 in 255/45R18. Best bang for buck at $139 ea and nearly at MPSS performance overall.

I just got a set of Sumitomo HTR Z III's.. they were the cheapest max performance summer tires I found on tirerack in 255 R45 19.. They are soooo much better than the stock Pirelli P Zero Nero all seasons that came with my car and cost about $70 less each.. I highly recommend them, I'm very satisfied. They're smoother, softer, quieter and tons more grip.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or Michelin Pilot AS3+

Summer Tires work really well in the rain so long as you don't have to deal with sustained temperatures below 40F during the winter months, as you run the risk of rubber cracking in addition to the tires losing much of their grip in the Winter below 40-50F.

If you consistently deal with sustained temps below 40-50F in the winter months, and you don't want to own two set of wheels/tires just from the Winter months, choose an All-Season tire.

For the last 4-years I've driven on nothing but Michelin Pilot Super Sport, Pilot Sport AS3's, and now the Pilot Sport 4S. The tires just work at a level better at everything as a whole compared to all other tires I've tried.

If you don't mind spending an extra $400 for a full set of tires, which comes out to roughly $20 more per 1000-miles of use, try a set of Pilot Sport tires.

I'm running these, 285/35-19 square and love them.

MPSS or MP4S, best all around performance tire, period.

Can anyone post some pics with a v6 18 foundry wheels with 255/45/18 tires? I'm strongly thinking about such a change.

I just put on Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's. Can't wait to see how they grip in the dry, it's been raining the first few days. But they haven't failed me yet in the rain.

I ended up getting continental DWS 06's. I'm not sure what PSI they should be at cold though.

The firestone Indy 509 are summer tires only though correct?

Yes. They do fine in 50 F weather though, too.
