When the stock pirellies wear out what do you all recommend for tires in a 18? Has Anyone gone with bigger tires all the way around or just stuck with the stick with the stock size

I've got 255/4518 on 18x9", seems a bit of a stretch on 18x8" though.

Not meaning to hijack OPs thread, but on my '16 GT convertible, I have P235/50ZR18 97W on 18x8 rims.
I dont really know anything about tires/wheels, but this seems small from what I'm seeing on these boards.

When it comes time to upgrade, how much bigger/beefier can I go before I have to do crazy stuff like studs/spacers/etc? Is there a sweet spot (Florida..so summer driving all year long)?

Also, if I increase the tire size, will that impact my odometer or anything else? Would I have to reprogram the new tire/wheel size anywhere or ?

Thanks!

I would stick with 235/5018 OE sizing if you stay with those wheels.

A 2554518 would work, and you would lose roughly .2" in height while gaining 20mm in width.

.2" is not going to affect the speedometer (that's less variance from a new tire, to one down to the tread bars).

I have the BFG comp 2 A/S in 235/50 on 18" foundrys. I'd recommend sticking with the stock size. the BFGs run pretty wide and in this case (based on Tirerack's numbers) the 235/50 has a wider tread patch than the 255/45, 8.8in vs 8.5in. If I had to buy again I'd get the Michelin A/S 3+ or the Pirelli P Zero A/S Plus (revised compound).

I found this article to be extremely helpful when looking for tires.
