Posting a image is easy enough but I have no idea how to embed a video from Youtube. I've seen some people do this. Please help.

The "youtu.be" links do not embed into the posts. Those are abbreviated YouTube links. To embed the video, click on the abbreviated link you posted above. It will open up a new tab/window to the YouTube website. Then copy that address to get the full YouTube URL. For the video you posted the full URL is:

https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDHv9U1BmAQ&feature=youtu.be

(without the space I added, just to show you what the URL looks like). If you paste that full URL it will automatically embed the video into your post.

Okay I understand now. Just one more question. When I tap the link it opens in the app. How would I get it to open in safari?

Nevermind I deleted the YouTube app and reinstalled it. Thanks for your help.

I didn't want to start a whole new thread but do the Mods think it would be possible to make this site's automatic video embedding compatible with Safari?

Video embedding works on all browsers. Make sure you are posting the full YouTube.com URL (not the abbreviated youtu.be short link).

Does it have to be from a host site like YouTube or can it be direct upload like with pics?
