Went for California smog, and to my surprise my 05 GT failed. First time. The computer said no reading from O2 Sensor and Cat. Car had been sitting, so I drove it for a couple of days and took it back, same issue. No SES light on dash... The only thing done was a new set of plugs. Car is running as perfect as usual.

Any ideas?

It takes certain conditions to clear the emission monitors. It usually takes about 50 miles or so to clear, sometimes it can take alot longer. I assume you dont have a tune or headers ?

The same custom dyno tune that has been on the car for at least 8 years. And I drove it around 250 miles. No headers. Running perfectly, as usual. The official smog cert listed the following items are "not read: O2 sensor, O2 heater, Catalytic Converter".
