Why no automatic option?

It's as if there is some sort of issue with an LT4/A10 combo

What happens if a ZL1LE can't lap faster than the ZL1 A10? Worth the extra $10,000?
The M6 and A10 are so close on a road course anyway. This car being lighter and a ton more aero, is going to put a hurting on anything sub 75k, as it should.

The ZL1LE is what the 2017 ZL1 was suppose to be when the z28 was still possible. The automatic simply didn't survive the harshness applied to it during testing nor does the LT4 like equal treatment when paired with a quick shifting auto.

Any major weight loss probably came from removing the much needed sub-frame support. The base ZL1 required all 11 sub-frame groups... removing them will not be wise. An AC Delete is absolutely required, unless you intend on performing in Winter. GM typically always test their FI Camaro's in cooler weather, circa 2012.

The tire sizes the ZL1LE uses are, as thePill stressed before, absolutely required for a vehicle as large and heavy as the Camaro.

Just as before, the ZL1 needs better wheels/tire (check), 15"-16"x32mm Rotors and an AC Delete. Finally, after 14 months, this is the car thePill talked about.

The 2017 ZL1 was literally neutered in order to meet MSRP/Weight demands... a lot of what they finally approved for 2017 ended up compromising the base product. They need to stop 1-UPing their own models with their own product releases. Unfortunately, this is what happens when you need to fail the product back :(
