I *might* actually take the stock exhaust system off for an Akra. Had one on my E90 M3. Work of art!

I have Akropovic on my RS7 and it made a world of difference in sound. I enjoy the deep throaty sound but that high pitch titanium sound is out of the world at full tilt. I imagine since the Voodoo engine is variant of the 458( Jay Leno's Video 15m marker the engine is discussed), a titanium exhaust would be extraordinary.

"The sound level of a passing GT350R at full tilt from 50 feet away," 104 DBA (C&D).
It is NOT a variant of the 458's engine at all... I think you may have misheard what Jay was saying. He simply made mention that it was humorous that a Mustang could be spoken of in the same sentence as a Ferrari, and that the FPC is essentially Ferrari technology.

Akropovic titanium exhaust on these cars would be otherworldy... I feel like they would cost a fortune though. Any exhaust manufacturers that typically design for European brands have much higher costs associated with their products than what most here consider normal, i.e Borla, Magnaflow, etc. I would expect a quality exhaust from Akropovic to easily be close to double that of the typical domestic offerings, and that would be for a stainless system. You are talking easily triple to quadruple the money for a full titanium system. Look at the prices for AMG's, Porsches, BMW's, etc for reference. No doubt sounds incredible, but it will come at a hefty price :(

I have a Akra SS w/carbon tips on the stock engine, C6Z, beautiful looking,
best craftsmanship, and just a OK sound.....Yes not that impressed
with the sound, at high rpm it is better than stock, but nothing like
the Borla Stingers I had on my stock C5Z.

I know different cars, etc. but the Akra was 4 times the cost.

I am likely doing resonator delete, but leaving the rest of my GT350
exhaust stock. One of the best things about the GT350 is other than maybe
resonator, you do not have to spend a penny on exhaust.

I completely agree with you on Akra quality, fit, and finish, but they are almost always a titanium reproduction of the OEM exhaust.

I disliked the sound on the E92 M3, so I never bought one. Titanium has a different resonant frequency than steel. They were the first to come out with an exhaust for my F80 M3, so I bought one and sold it in a few months.

I am used to seeing you on Rennlist in the 991 GT3 forum. I think you and I have a very similar car collection. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to experience them all. The GT350 is truly amazing. It's so different than either the M3 or GT3. I love driving them all. Enjoy your '17!

Regards,
Adam

The beauty of their systems is the way they create them, the systems are developed to be functional on the stock ecu mapping which means no loss you stay the same or actually gain.

We had to go through a big training meeting with them a few months ago to learn all the new things their coming out with.

I'd love their system on my 350 if it ever cam out.

Hint Hint Akro you can use it as a test mule lol.
