I want to put on my Michelin X-Ice wheels, but the temperatures this week will be in the 40's. Will that cause any problems?

I've driven all year round with them before. They just don't handle like sports tires. Sloshy so to speak, traction was fine, just not confidence inspiring in corners.

One of the manufacturers (Bridgestone if memory serves) actually gave me a recommended maximum temp, I think it was like 58 f. I suspect Michelin will be able to answer questions if you call.

Still safe but they said that wear was greatly accelerated.

On a different thread one person noted that at 80 degrees he thought he could feel his car getting shorter as he drove :).

Nope, no issues. The temps are going to drop fast at the end of the week. The cold air is about to explode in the eastern parts of the US.
