Well, our 2015 5.0 finally showed up! It is a base GT with Recaros, 6spd, and Performance pack. We plan to build this car for SCCA, time trial, and Ultimate street car competition. That means more power, less weight, better handling, and of course lower. Twin turbos, full exhaust, full suspension, aero, brake upgrade, and 18x11 inch wheels wrapped in 315/30-18s at all four corners. We plan on offering most of the prototype parts we make for our car as production parts. You are welcome to follow the project on this forum and/or join our Facebook page for the project. https://www.facebook.com/Progect6G

First thing we did was weigh the car. With 3/4 tank of fuel it scaled at 3726! A bit on the plump side, but not as bad as we thought.. So it will be sub 3700 with 1/4 tank of fuel for racing without any weight reduction.

Dyno numbers!

After some break in miles we strapped it to the dyno and layed down an impressive 395 rwhp and 367 rwtq at 50 degrees ambient on a D:shocked::shocked:ynojet dyno

Looking forward to this! What make/model tire will you be using in that 325/30/19 size?
Bridgestone RE-11. Most of the events we run in require 200 tread wear tires. I have used them on my 2013 GT, 2012 Laguna Seca, and my BMW 135 M-Sport, they have good grip and work well on the street.

The build is essentially what I aim to do as well, but with budget restrictions, lol. Can't wait to see the journey to stardom.

Interested in the weight reduction tweaks for the GT. I would like to be in the 3500's, but still keep it a daily driver. I am sure it might be relatively easy to drop 200-300 pounds. Good luck with the project and keep us posted, looking forward to progress

Why did you add the PP if you are gonna strip it anyway?

I love this project idea, but from having driven and competed in S197's in various forms of racing, speaking with others, watching others... you REALLY think you need twin turbos (added weight, cost and complexity) to be competitive, let alone WIN in a pro-touring event or time trials???
