Is this a bearing issue? Annoying creaking noise around wheel hub.

Happens under standing acceleration regardless of rate. Also happens occasionally when the drivetrain is unloading, like during acceleration and deceleration. Sometimes when shifting.

Car only has 12k miles. Super annoying.

Just drove it some more. It actually happens all the time when I'm shifting. Seems to be directly correlated to when the clutch engages. If I'm coasting and give just a tap of the throttle, it happens that moment and then corresponds with any whiplash that happens afterward.

Not a wheel bearing. Those whine at speed and get louder the faster you go. I've had one go on an older car, it's very obvious when they go bad.

I would suspect that it might be a failing U-joint on one of the half-shafts which drive the rear wheels.

Welcome to the world of IRS.

I have the same sound. Someone said to tighten the nut that holds the axle and the eliminated the noise for him. I have yet to try it. Mine occurs when accelerated from a stop.

I have no experience with this but listening to the video makes it sound like a spring releasing under tension. Could this be an E-brake involvement? Just throwing a suggestion out there.

I had a similar sound to this. Put the car on jack stands and found this.

Oddly mine doesn't do that. It just does the creaking.

Do you have any suspension parts installed? Also try this when parked raise you're brake up and turn the wheel all the way to each side a couple of times and see if the simulates the noise.
