Thanks mate. I had dropped mine the full 3/4" previously but the headers were producing false knock on the steering column. Lifted it back up to 1/4" drop...I don't think you could since mine still rubs at the very back a little. And honestly you can't really tell that the engine is lowered. Besides a little bit of vibration on cold starts. For like a few seconds.
Thanks for the heads up. We checked mine at 3/4"'drop and it was effing tight to the sump but no rub. I'm using UPR mounts, not sure if the brands matter? You cannot lower 3/4". It hits the oil pan hits the steering rack. As low as you can go is 1/2" unless you replace the stock oil pan with a lower profile one in the front. 1/2 drop you might be able to keep the hood liner with the CJ but a Boss it touches still.
Thanks for the heads up and kind words. Appreciated.Well I lowered mine 3/4 and my oil pan is not touching the steering rack. Granted I'm using BMR motor mounts and motor bracket. And all the KB guys lowered theirs 3/4 no problem. Best of luck to you Burkey
It clears just fine at 3/4"You cannot lower 3/4". It hits the oil pan hits the steering rack. As low as you can go is 1/2" unless you replace the stock oil pan with a lower profile one in the front. 1/2 drop you might be able to keep the hood liner with the CJ but a Boss it touches still.
