Taken directly from my ACM. Only the first line or two have to change.
Thanks!

I was already into a bit of a deep dive on this, comparing my car (2017 GT Base) to a 2017 GT Premium without any extra options (nav etc.)

I'm not adding sat radio, did you? In particular I reached a different conclusion on 727-01-01 Xxxx xxxx xx so SDARS is disabled. Also, on 727-01-01 xxxx Xxxx xx I was thinking I should use a 3 instead of a 2, but that line relates to "front & rear speaker detection" according to the F150 sheet, and I have no idea what that is. ETA: and 727-01-01 xxxx xxxx xX, which relates to "tune knob acceleration." More info below.

Also, it's interesting to me that both GT cars have 4E in 727-03-01 whereas you have 14. Can't find info on what that line does.

Here's my analysis of my 2017 GT Base as-built vs the aforementioned 2017 GT Premium:

727-01-01 Xxxx xxxx xx - my base has D, the Premium has 1. According to the F150 sheet, 1 = Int SDARS enabled & APIM gen2 & EFP CAN based & APIM available and D = Int SDARS disabled & APIM gen1 & EFP CAN based & APIM available. I would guess this needs changed, according to Google SDARS relates to SiriusXM which I'm not adding. So based on the F150 sheet, I think I need to set this to 9 = Int SDARS disabled & APIM gen2 & EFP CAN based & APIM available
727-01-01 xXxx xxxx xx - same on both cars: 8. F150 sheet says 8 = HD radio disabled & DAB not avail & SWC not avail & CGEA 1.3. I'd guess I need to leave this alone.
727-01-01 xxXx xxxx xx - my base has 0, Premium has 5. F150 sheet says 0 = Front: Int Amp & Rear: Int Amp, 5 = Front: External Variable & Rear: External Variable. So I think I should keep 0.
727-01-01 xxxX xxxx xx - my base has 0, Premium has 0. F150 sheet says 0 = Aux1 not used & Aux2 not used. I'd guess I need to leave this alone.
727-01-01 xxxx Xxxx xx - my base has 2, Premium has F. F150 sheet says 2 = Front & Rear Det enabled & Antenna Type: Active & 10 presets, F = Front & Rear Det disabled & Antenna Type: Active & 6 presets. I wonder if I should keep this as is? I don't know what the speaker detection does. Or perhaps I should change it to a 3 to match the # of presets on the Premium but keep the speaker detection enabled? F150 sheet says 3 = Front & Rear Det enabled & Antenna Type: Active & 6 presets.
727-01-01 xxxx xXxx xx - same on both cars: 8. F150 sheet says 8 = Front Tweeter present & Chime Strategy: North American & ANC absent & USB absent. I guess I'll leave this alone.
727-01-01 xxxx xxXx xx - same on both cars: 0. F150 sheet says 0 = Aux 1 Channel Location for Balance & Fade set to Mono Subwoofer. Guess I leave that alone?
727-01-01 xxxx xxxX xx - same on both cars, 0. F150 sheet says 0 = CD & MP3 CD Text Conversion set to Internal CD & no conversion. Guess I'll leave that alone.
727-01-01 xxxx xxxx Xx - my base has 0, Premium has 4. F150 sheet says this is for "Center Channel Open Detection & AAM & Convertible & Turn Signal Chimes" and that 0 = CC check for open & AAM absent & non-Convertible & Chimes disabled, 4 = 4=CC check for open & AAM present & non-Convertible & Chimes disabled. So the difference is AAM absent in the base and present in the premium. What is an AAM? Is that the external amp or something? I'm guessing I should leave it as 0.
727-01-01 xxxx xxxx xX - my base has 0, Premium has 4. F150 sheet says this is for "Demand Lamp & Tune Knob Acceleration". According to that sheet, 0 = Demand Lamp disabled & Tune Knob Acceleration off and there is no value listed for 4. I would imagine I need to change that to 4 since "Tune Knob Acceleration" would relate to the bezel being used, right? No idea what "Demand Lamp" is. UPDATE: changing this from 0 to 4 broke bluetooth for some reason, so I set it back to 0.

Next line:

727-01-02 Xxxx - both cars have 0, can't find an explanation of what this does.
727-01-02 xXxx - my base has 1, Premium has 2. F150 sheet says these are EQ selections without much further detail. From the 2GFusions forum, a 0 here disables EQ entirely. I think I should leave mine set to 1 for now since I have the factory base speakers, and when I want to upgrade down the road I'll set this to 0.
727-01-02 xxXx - same on both cars, 0. F150 sheet says this means "ANC Left Front Mixing & ANC Center Front Mixing" is set to "0=LF: no mixing & CF: no mixing". I'll leave it alone.
727-01-02 xxxX - same on both cars, 0. As above but for "Right Front" and "Rear". Will leave alone.

Next line:

727-02-01 XX - both cars have 2E, can't find any info on what this does.

Next line:

727-03-01 XX - both cars have 4E, can't find any info on what this does.

Next line:

727-04-01 Xxxx xxxx xx - both cars have 0, can't find any info on what this does.
727-04-01 xXxx xxxx xx - both cars have 0, F150 sheet "Tuner Region: 0=NA (North America)"
727-04-01 xxXx xxxx xx - both cars have 0, can't find any info on what this does.
727-04-01 xxxX xxxx xx - my base has 3, Premium has 1. F150 sheet says this is "SDARS Region" and 3 = no content, 1, = U.S. From what I can gather, SDARS relates to SiriusXM, so I should leave this alone?
727-04-01 xxxx Xxxx xx - both cars have 0, can't find any info on what this does.
727-04-01 xxxx xXxx xx - my base has 2, Premium has 1. F150 sheet says this is "SDARS Data Services" and that 2 = no data services, 1 = data services. From what I can gather, SDARS relates to SiriusXM, so I should leave this alone?
727-04-01 xxxx xxXX XX - both cars have 55 53. F150 sheet says this is the country code for U.S.

So, assuming I've made the right guesses above (please correct me if I'm wrong!) I should make the following changes to my as-built:

727-01-01 Factory: D800 2800 00, after Sync 3 Swap: 9800 3800 00

727-01-02 Factory: 0100, no changes.

727-02-01 Factory: 2E, no changes.

727-03-01 Factory: 4E, no changes.

727-04-01 Factory: 0003 0255 53, no changes.

Another nugget I found from the F150 spreadsheet: 7D0-01-01 *xxx xxxx xxxx Removes Sirius from audio sources (decrement your value where the asterisk is by 2; if you have an "A" make it "8", if you have "2" make it "0")

My as-built file for the GT Premium shows a 6 there, so I may try setting it to 4 to see if the option for SiriusXM goes away. ETA: tried 4, 0, 8. For whatever reason, 8 is what got rid of Sirius.

ETA: Here's another possibility from the F150 spreadsheet; 7D0-01-01 xxxx xxx* xxxx Climate Front Zone & HD Radio: 3=Dual Zone & HD radio avail, 2=Dual Zone & HD radio not avail, 7=Single Zone & HD radio avail, 6=Single Zone & HD radio not avail

My as-built for the GT Prem shows a 2 there for dual zone and no HD radio. So I may try setting that to 6 to show single zone. ETA: didn't work.

So this will get rid of the Sirius 1,2,3 channels telling us to subscribe if we don't have Sirius? If so, can we also get rid of the AM stations in order to make cycling through presets a lot easier?

Regarding Sirius - I don't know yet but I intend to find out.

No idea on the AM stations, I looked through the very detailed F150 as-built spreadsheet and couldn't find anything. It may be possible - what markets don't have AM radio?

Good find keep up the great work!

I'm not aware of any without AM radio. Quick google search looks like electric cars are doing away with AM radio though: https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/why-electric-cars-are-ditching-am-radio

Spart, if you can pull your trim panels off to access the connectors I can verify.
I'm going to scan the diagrams tomorrow and post here.
Waiting to see if Yazaki will give me a Letter of Approval to purchase the female terminals for the ACM.

HextallS550 I pulled it all apart tonight and I definitely have the 2016MY harness. Car is a 2017MY built 06/2016. Not sure how to get a more specific build date, that's what's on the door tag. Probably one of the first 2017's built? Somebody at the factory didn't get the memo.

Already having it all apart, I got impatient and decided to re-pin everything. It was a pain in the ass, but I figured out how to take all of the connectors apart. Luckily I had some Arduino pin headers since I didn't know the GPSM and 4.3" screen pins wouldn't swap to the APIM connector - they're too large. The Arduino pins were a little on the small side. They do work, but the fit inside the APIM connector could be better and I'm a little leery that the connection isn't the best. zackmd1 or whoever else that has done this the DIY route, what specifically did you use?

I used a factory Ford APIM repair kit to get the required pins for the screen and MS CAN wires. It is linked in the 1st post.

Got the toggle switches working properly:

Thank you to X0AYHAM0X for this! To make the hazard toggle function correctly:

BCM 726-29-02 xxxx xxx1 (base bezel with hazard button)
BCM 726-29-02 xxxx xxx0 (premium bezel with hazard toggle)

To get the mode button working, I changed only the following:

ABS 760-02-02 xxxx xxxx x8
IPC 720-06-01 xxxx 7x

I left the x's with the value that was already there.

Okay, here is what you need to change for a Sync 3 upgrade from base, including some optional stuff.

This is assuming you are keeping the Base ACM.

ACM:

727-01-01 Factory: D800 2800 00, after Sync 3 Swap: 9800 3800 00

BCM:

Fix hazard toggle operation:
BCM 726-29-02 xxxx xxx0

GT350 Only:

Enable exhaust mode toggle on bezel:
IPC 720 06-01 xxxx xxxx xE

Non GT350:

Enable drive mode toggle (part 1)
ABS 760-02-02 xxxx 7x (GT Performance Pack)
ABS 760-02-02 xxxx 3x (GT without Performance Pack)
ABS 760-02-02 xxxx 1x (EcoBoost All, V6)

Enable drive mode toggle (part 2)
IPC 720-06-01 xxxx xxxx x8

OPTIONAL STUFF
APIM:

GT Splash at start:
7D0-02-01 xxxx xDxx xx

Different colors for different menus:
7D0-03-01 xxxx x0x2 xx
(I did this so the audio screen would show up in red instead of blue to better match the base gauges.)

You could also do the GT theme in combo with the GT splash:
7D0-03-01 xxxx x4x0 xx
(I tried the GT theme, didn't really care for it. I'm running the regular theme set to night all the time so the background is black rather than white.)

Here's what I'm talking about here. I also went into the settings under Display and changed the mode from "Auto" to "Night" so I always have a black background.

When you're in the audio menu (which I always will be pretty much) it matches the gauges perfectly. ETA: I realize that the climate menu is missing in this pic. I was tinkering around and accidentally eliminated it with a change to 7D0 xxxx xxx* xx. I managed to get it back.

Spart Just get the Mustang single version LOL come on man you came this far
So after some digging, the dual port hub is probably "correct" for Sync 3 upgrades in our Base cars.

In Premiums that came with Sync 3, there are two USB connectors in the harness that plugs into the hub in the console. One goes to the APIM, one goes to the front USB port on the bezel.

In our Base cars, there is only one USB connector in the console harness. The USB port on the bezel is wired directly to the APIM, it doesn't go through the console first.

So if you want the most functional setup, get the two port hub.

If you really, really wanted to use the front bezel USB port for CarPlay, I assume you could run a Mini-B male to Mini-B female from the female "out" port on the single port hub to the APIM male connector for the front port. Obviously the cable would have to be long enough to reach.

Those are just Tyco pieces. What I found is they have two part numbers, those exclusive to Ford and those available to anyone else.

The only problem I had with setting the unit to night mode is that the screen dims and basically sets a new maximum brightness that the brightness control does not let me go over. So in most sunny conditions I found the unit to be unreadable because of this lower brightness.

Spart dual port was actually for Fusion because it lost its front hub. But you definitely make a point, unless your buddies, wives, girlfriends etc want to use CarPlay get whichever port suits your needs.

I also experienced this. It was weird, it would actually get brighter when you turned the lights on. I think it's buggy, if you turn the lights off and on, and turn the auto dim functionality off and back on, while turning up the screen brightness with the slider, that behavior spontaneously reverses itself. I should try to figure out the exact repeatable sequence to work around that sometime.

I intentionally drove this morning with the sunrise at my back shining right on the screen and it wasn't terrible.

Well, the dual hub has two ports so your extra person is covered... plus the front port still charges. That's the most functionality you can get.
