Just can't get enuff!
I was at a local dealership last night for a club meeting.... all over the showroom and dealer lot were specialty F150 units for sale. Many of them have been there for months... because all of them have ADM's (minimum 10K to start). This is South FL after all... cracray.

And this is exactly why I bought my Raptor (as well as other FP vehicles) out of state. If a local dealer sold me cars at msrp, I would have bought like 4 units already... when combined. Their loss, not mine. So basically these are like medium to long term eye candy at this dealership. Beautiful trucks!

If anyone is in the market, I have a lead for a Raptor at MSRP on the ground already.
Car is in southern/southeastern region. Please only inquire if you're ready to purchase this truck..

picked 'one'...no, 'mine'...up today. I've wanted one since, well, since they were even hinted at for the Gen 1. I hadn't been able to justify / rationalize the purchase all this time. A recent reconnection with my road-tripping routes convinced me to get a raptor asap. This truck became available and I dropped in.

We are absolutely digging this vehicle so far.

(Magnetic Screw, 802a, tech package, nothing else)

Most likely trading my raptor in. I'm downsizing, will probably get an explorer sport and get 15-20K back. Wife will be happy and I'll pick up the next SE mustang right out of the gate ;)

^^^^^^ I traded my 15 loaded lariat F150 screw EB in last year the same day I picked up the GT350 the wife wanted something smaller so we picked up a 16 explorer sport and after three months of owning the sport I hated it and so did she. the seats are smaller it lacks the giddy up and go. the third row seating is a pain to put people back there since I have two boys 7&4 and both still need car seats and there is only 1 anchor back there. Today I test drove a 2014 raptor and was not impressed but driving it cemented me in to picking up another F150

2 weeks and close to 2k miles on mine and I'm really digging this truck. We did 1,300 miles chasing the eclipse in central oregon...8-10 hours each way cruising at 80-85mph and it's one of the comfiest vehicles I've ever driven on the freeway. Beyond the obvious benefits of visibility and the feeling of security that comes with being in such a beast, the thing is quiet as all get out and a very nice place to be...the seats are very nice and the cooling option is great. I have the tech package on mine which gives you adaptive cruise and lane-keeping...both of which work better than in previous fords I've had. An absolute treat on the highway...averaged ~18mpg on the highway. Then, as we approached the more crowded bits of roads leading to the zone of totality, we set Waze to allow for dirt road options and ended up doing 50+ of those miles in the dirt...mostly forest service roads. WOW. We were blasting down decent dirt roads at 60+mph and the truck was just laughing. So were we. Very, very impressed with this thing.

Yup it's a fun truck indeed and great for short or long drives. I will soon hit 4k miles on mine and one oil change so far... and yeah 17-18 mpg is the norm in mixed driving for me. And a few weeks ago, one 15 min track laps session on the Nascar oval.... even blasting by some Mustangs! For a charity event... :D

I am surprised by the majority of Raptors being SCREW's. Why? This is a performance truck, why would you not want to buy the shortest/lightest version of it?

Well why not.... to me, it's both for fun + utility/passenger room. The rear passenger room in my SCREW Raptor is more spacious than on my previous Ram Crewcab.... hence it works for me. Towing capacity is also similar... but now I have alot more power. :D

I guess if you make use of the back seats often, I could see making that choice. But I hardly ever see more more than 1 or 2 people driving around in/ getting out of Raptors. Just from an aesthetics standpoint, unless I needed the extra room, I wouldn't buy a SCREW.

I agree on the aesthetics...I like the scab better. (and my son, who's a total car geek, likes the look of the screw better...so, to each his own) And, sure, it'll be marginally better performance-wise, but I chose the screw for:
- extra room for people and gear...I bought the raptor primarily as a longer-distance road-tripper and encourage folks to come along. the back seats in the screw are a very nice place to be
- added safety (the safety rating on the screws is better for back seat passengers)
- added fuel capacity (36 versus 26 gallons)

I love my new Raptor 2017 SCREW! It's awesome. Super comfortable. Great on or off-road. I do miss my 16GT350 (which is why i keep checking this forum).

Saw a 17 Raptor here yesterday. It was beautiful. I'd definitely trade my King Ranch in on one.
