Not sure if this has already been posted, but someone who interviewed the 2015 Mustang (S550) design team, stated that they are currently working on the 2018 Mustang? Quite fast if that's true, not only development wise, but also faster than the last gen facelift that took 4 1/2 years. Maybe it's gonna be what the 2013 model is to the 2010, rather than what the 2010 was to the 2005? Also, would that mean in comes out in 2017 as a 2018 model or in 2018 itself? I noticed Curic's resume reflects he's still busy with changes to the S550, which probably might explain this.

If you are a Mustang owner, you can rest assured that these teams are working very hard to ensure that this car suits you, what you stand for and what you love.
The final stage is for all these pieces to come together and a prototype car to be built. Once this happens, all the hundreds of sketches that started the process have been narrowed down and refined to become the car that is sitting in front of everyone. To say that it takes A LOT of work, is an understatement. The team is currently working on the 2018 Mustang!
