Looks like fun, do they offer the Grand Sport yet? That would be my pic.

Btw, stay safe down there, hopefully you and the rides are able to find shelter.
Yes they do, there was one there (the #10 blue with white in my previous post) and a few more that just got delivered...

Thanks.... I'm more inland and not in the evacuation zone but this hurricane is such a monster. I got back from my redeye flight early this AM and then did my storm shutters earlier this afternoon... it looks like we're all going to be impacted (hurricane warning now) with the high winds and heavy rain. Here's a shot while in progress. Viper and R will stay inside while the Raptor will man it up outside. My others are offsite at another secured garage. Hoping to survive this thing... stay safe everyone that's in the path!

Maybe I should do something like this tomorrow?? :D

Hope everyone made it out fine from Irma's wrath... sharing some gnarly pics from my Brickell condo space (near downtown Miami).

Had my 911 tucked safely in that yellow building's 4th floor... but look at that raging rapid below!

Godspeed indeed. :hail:

Bossing,

You're in the know about a variety of auto activities. Any chance you know of a good drifting school in the northeast? I want to learn some extreme car control techniques beyond what I'm getting in autox, hpde's, and skid car.

Thanks

Forgive my butting in, but the Team O'Neil rally school in NH may be something to look into. I used to instruct at Audi Club winter driving schools back in the day - we used their facility. Lots of fun in the ice and snow...Looks like they have a Drift School now.

In the northeast I'm not familiar although I did hear about what Zombo posted... I think they're on IG also. Down south there are a number and I also hear drifting is popular in the Orlando area. Hope you find a good one near you and share your experiences with us!

So nearly a week since Hurricane Irma has departed south FL and there are still downed trees here & there... a common sight.

Thanks for the info and glad the situation down there isn't as bad as predicted (except for some of the keys of course).

Raptor is looking sweet! Love the AG color.

Did the Track Attack school again at UMC yesterday... the East track this time around. Best session is the last with open laps and pointby passing on the front straight. We were instructed to stay in Sport mode only. Weather was nice in Tooele too. Btw I had an AG w/ LB stripes... #9... loved it!

After warming up for a couple of laps I got it moving pretty quick on the East course and started catching up one by one... track traffic here & there but my personal best was a 1:53 on Lap 8 with still some room to improve. Instructor told me that's a pretty good time... all in all it was a blast and was still worth it. Note... we were told to stay in 3rd gear the entire time! :D

Great times for sure! It was my first experience on the track there a few months ago and since I have ordered a MY 18 R with plans on getting some more track time.

Excellent! I'm looking forward to my return. How were the cars? I was at the first track attack back in April of '16. The cars were brand new then. What is the condition of the cars when you were there?

and what a good first TA it was! too bad we had to follow the proper break-in procedures on the cars. lol.

the most complimentary thing I've heard an instructor at a driving school say was that our groups' lead-follows were the fastest they'd seen since the NASCAR drivers had come through for a day. but maybe they say that to all the girls ;-)
