Thanks Malikona & Brent for the kind words. One day I'm ready to move on & the next it's Mustang fever all over again. I work as a Courtesy Attendant at a medical facility & assist people who need more help than I do (hard as it is to believe sometimes), & yesterday a guy dropped his wife off...
Down Payment
I had to put $5K down in August & was going to finance the rest by refinancing my home. The dealer made a mistake....He wasn't allocated an LE, so I got my $5K back, but would rather have had one of 1964. Not meant to be, I guess!
Scoops or Not
I have been reading all the comments & have enjoyed the differences of opinion. Right now I would love to have a Roush, a Shelby or JUST a Ruby Red GT. I HAD a 2015 50th LE Kona blue automatic on order & was on cloud nine. The closest thing I ever had to a muscle car was a '58...
Expected Delivery
My dealer didn't submit my order until 08/12 for a Kona Blue LE with auto. It is priority 19 & I probably won't see it until spring. Like has been said on here, each month gives me just a little more time to build the down payment amount, but I'm already anxious!
PP & 3.55's on the auto
Before anyone jumps down my throat, I'm pushing 76, fairly new to the site, & the closest I've been to owning a muscle car was back in "58 When I ordered a new Olds with Tri Power. That being said, I ordered the 50th Anniversary Edition with auto & think (hope) I'll have...
Mileage
Thanks foghat, I believe you are right, but overall ratio, if I remember, was very close between the two. I still hope I can find the torque curve somewhere, not that I could do anything about it, but I think I read the Boss 302 really got it's power in the high rev range, but the 2015...
Torque
Thanks Scottpe, I believe mine (auto tranny) should have 3.55 gears, which should be pretty responsive at highway speeds, yet not overly thirst either.
Torque
Forgive me if this has already been covered, but I'm fairly new here. Has anyone seen the torque curve for the 2015 GT engine? I'm not concerned with top HP as the cops in Wi keep you pretty close to the speed limits. I would, however, be interested in seat of the pants & actual torque...
Introduction
Welcome Captain Zach. You will like the guys on this site....friendly, knowledgable & willing to share lots of info. It's especially cool for me as this will be my first Muscle Car. I had a flathead '53 Ford with 3 on the tree in high school. I moved into the big iron (for its...
Introduction
Hi, I've been posting for a few days now, so thought I'd introduce myself. My real name is Harlow, but I'd understand if you prefer to call me Turtle. I'm probably one of the older members here (pushing 76), but I married a much younger wife (she's not even 75 yet. We reside in...
Production Capability
Thanks again to all who responded to my question about production capability. During my college days I was a full time student at UW- Milwaukee while working full time nights at a distribution transformer plant & I don't think we hit much more than 100 units per day...
Production
I don't know what my sequence number is or how to find what it is. When I type in the order # & dealer code on the cot us site it says invalid numbers:thumb down:My order wasn't placed until August 12th, so I would think it would be one of the last in sequence.
Production
Wow! I would never have dreamed that many. Mine is a late order so I thought it would be a long way off, but it may be in production soon. I can't find it on the tracking site. Thanks again for the info.
Price
I hear you & always said they could keep any car that was MSRP or higher......but, there's something about this unique opportunity for a beautiful, once in a lifetime ride. I could always sell the house & put the back seats down with a sleeping bag there. It would have to be a warm one...
Financing
Thanks again to both of you for your comments/compliments. I thank God every day that I can still go to work & help others who are not so fortunate as I each day at our local medical facility. It's a paid position, not voluntary, but other than the benefits, it wouldn't attract most...
Financing
Thanks to both you & SVTfreak for your encouragement. The maximum term they offer here on a refinance is 13 years...I asked about 15 years. The rate is above 4%, so I'll be paying a whole bunch in interest & will be near 90 if & when I see it paid for. Hopefully, the kids could...
