One other thing- cooling. I would really love it if Ford would offer a "performance cooling package" that would enable a Mach 1 purchaser or a GT purchaser to get an engine cooling/ transmission cooling/differential cooling set up of similar effectiveness to that available on the GT350.

It's hard for me to imagine the automobile industry in its current form abandoning the V8. I think there is just too much money to be made from consumers who want one. I can only imagine that they will find some way to keep it, regardless of what the EPA says or does.

If this is bait and switch advertising then it should, at the very least, be reported to the better business bureau. As that is worded, nobody should be able to get away with the lame excuse, "oh that's a mistake."

I think it would be great if the magnetic dampers were a stand-alone option or part of the performance package for both the ecoboost 4 and the GT.

I guess Ford is never going to offer the GT350 in Ingot Silver. Sad. Of course, I could always go to the trouble of buying a white one and having it painted. ;)

Lightning blue with the black OTT stripes will look killer. Sad that there's no option for a gun metal finish or titanium finish wheel on the 900A.

I suspect that it will be substantially more than an appearance package. Ford already has the California Special to fill that role. I think the engine will be a cross plane crank V8 that has a full rack of additional performance goodies to set it significantly above and apart from the Coyote in...

Wouldn't it be interesting if the new Mach1 came with factory options and packages that would let a buyer optimize it for either type (road course monster or drag strip monster) depending on their choices. I know, not likely. But a man can always dream. :D

I like them,but my tastes are fairly old school. I do think a more brushed or satin finish would look good with the S550's lines, though.
