And I would plan on a 1LE/GT350 Track pack shootout sooner than later. GM has been pretty confident in this ever since they announced the package.
The R is on another level.
I'm sure you know but a general rule of thumb is a 1hp loss for every 10lbs gained. Not to mention an additional 180lbs or more would surely change the handling of the car. Either way it's all speculation at this point.
The 1LE will not beat the R. I am pretty confident it will beat a Track Pack car though. The Track pack was 1.8 seconds slower than the Z/28 at Chuckwalla and I believe 3 slower than the R. I love both cars and have owned both brands as well as several Turbo imports in my younger days. No brand...
No, for doing it with the base model car sharing the same power train as a standard SS with nothing more than retuned MRC, eLSD, larger tires and the same aero bits and brakes available as a dealer add on when buying any SS model. It would be like the GT PP beating the Z/28
I don't see it...
Pick up a pair 90 degree 02 sensor spacers for the down stream 02 sensors. They work by pulling the sensors from the direct exhaust and fooling them into reading less exhaust gasses thereby eliminating CEL's...
With a tuner kit I can see that number. With the out of the box, canned tune with the provided pulley I'm betting they play it safe. Owners can change pulleys, add more injector etc if they so desire. With 6-7lbs and headers I can see 675-700rwhp. I'd use a good meth kit with this as well.

I'd like to hear your setup with high flow cats to remove a little rasp but keep the volume. I prefer the stock mufflers as they sound tuned to produce a specific sound.
The Borla makes it sound like a Coyote to my ears.
I believe the 17's now come with a 9 speaker Shaker system. Pretty sure I saw it in the order guide and also interior pics show the Shaker written in front of the shifter. Not sure how good it will be but I'm sure it will be better than the old Tech pack system.
Didn't see it posted but for those that didn't know, Tanner Foust was driving the shit out of a Red Track Pack on Top Gear last night. It's on the History channel and you can probably catch it via On Demand now. Pretty good watch to be honest.
If you set up a Paypal option for payment, I'm sure you would get more takers. Service fees are the same and it takes no more than 5-10 minutes set up.
We had another similar raffle on here a while back that never took off due to this.
They were working on a few NA power plants for the C7Z a few years ago but could not hit the 650hp target and meet emissions. If the goal is 550 than a LT version of the LS7 would most definitely make 550hp I would assume.
They already trademarked the L88, LT4, LT5 and LTX nameplates back in...
