  1. 3.5L High Ouput Tune & 10 Speed

I think it's evident from the spy videos and shots that this will likely be a v8 car. Assuming the spied car isn't just sporting the 2018 MY mechanic upgrades for the GT
  2. 1st Tech pack With Trans Cooler!

    Cool stuff indeed!
  3. Rumor - The GT500 thread

No TT v6 for GT500. And expect DI to appear on just about every Mustang engine in the near future. Emissions and cafe dictate it pretty much.
  4. GT350/R Mustang Performance Numbers (0-60 and 1/4 mile) from MT

While the times aren't great.. They are about what I expect from a mag driver. However, you want the real story... Look at those trap speeds. 117 and 119... Mark my words, these will both hit 11s stock. Maybe not with a magazine driver, but they will with a good driver who has some seat time...
  5. Calvert Racing Suspension goes 8's in a S550

I don't see all that many making the switch. Especially if it's not just a bolt in kit. Looking at that setup there... It's for sure cheaper to just upgrade the IRS. For a dedicated drag only car like the Cobra Jet, yes this will be the norm. But you aren't going to see owners converting in...
  6. Track or street car...which do you want?

The only Porsche that can be called a track car is the GT3... and that doesn't even have door handles soo not sure about that whole cake and eat it.
  7. Track or street car...which do you want?

The regular 5.0 redlines at 7k as well... The GT350 will likely rev higher.
  8. Track or street car...which do you want?

I'd like to see the GT350 be more racer than luxury. The hell with leather, navigation, air conditioning, big stereos and soft suspension. If that's what's you want in a performance car would need to reevaluate what performance really is. This shouldn't be a GT car. I'd love to see a raw track...
  9. 2015 Mustang GT PP vs. 2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE

GT PP doesn't have enough tire period. More tire and firmer suspension will go a long way. But I think the GT PP is purposely hindered. It leaves room for an SE with alittle more power, firmer suspension, better brakes, etc etc
  10. First 2015 Mustang GT Owner Dyno and Corner Scale Weigh-In

And hey, its totally possible you have a freak! I remember the average 03-04 Cobra put down 360ish, and there where a few that put down just under 400 on the same dyno on the same day. All stock.
  11. First 2015 Mustang GT Owner Dyno and Corner Scale Weigh-In

I'm not trying to be degrading, just saying that SAE certified numbers don't leave much room. Granted running in optimum conditions can produce exceptional numbers, it's just puzzling that this one car made very similar numbers as a car with a CAI and 93 octane tune from SCT.
  12. First 2015 Mustang GT Owner Dyno and Corner Scale Weigh-In

For these numbers to be accurate, the car would have to be making about 460-470hp at the crank. Sorry, anyone who believes this is delusional. Especially since the power numbers are SAE certified. Something isn't corrected or the dyno wasn't loaded or something. This result will not be typical...
  13. First 2015 Mustang GT Owner Dyno and Corner Scale Weigh-In

Fourth gear runs?? That's probably why the numbers are inflated. Dyno runs should only be done in fifth as that's a 1:1 ratio in the MT-82. The gear ratio not being one to one could explain the anomoly. 4th is 1.32, so 30% more multiplier or so. Could definitely have something to do with it
  14. The writing on the wall

The v8 will shrink and gain boost long before it dies. I welcome the idea of a 4.2 9000rpm turbo beast... wrapped in an aluminum body... maybe shed some weight... Besides, once the world stops choking on the BS that is the electric car, hydrogen will prevail and we can have gobs and gobs of...
  15. Eco vs 5.0 @ 5000'

That would be the case, but thanks to variable valve timing and precise computer control of everything, the computer can adjust to those kinds of variables. So both vehicles will perform similarly at the majority of altitudes. And aside from Denver, where the hell else is this comparison relevant??
  16. Whats a tune gonna do for the EcoBoost 310hp 2.3l?

While we don't know what size turbo it is just yet, based on the size of the engine, the weight of the car and power it makes, we can assume it's no smaller than the turbo used on the Focus ST. While not exactly great news, it gives an idea where things stand. But I think with supporting mods...
  17. Whats a tune gonna do for the EcoBoost 310hp 2.3l?

Yeah no... lol Mustang guys like to mod and Ford knows it. Making the new "star" engine not mod friendly would be a massive shot in the foot. And what about engines that only run for 2 years like the Shelby 5.8? I suppose you would tell those guys to cut the crap with the whole tune, cai...
  18. 2015 Mustang Horsepower / Torque Figures and Weight Released!

Hardly indicative of what either car can do... one car was already out lapping, and the other just pulling into traffic.
  19. 2015 Mustang Horsepower / Torque Figures and Weight Released!

Some shared content is good, but doing it to much is a problem. It's a problem GM has had in the past. Too much generic content is a problem. Yes parts sharing is one thing, but carbon copying a car with minor fascia differences, or offering the same engines in premium cars as in the economy...
  20. 2015 Mustang Horsepower / Torque Figures and Weight Released!

Disagree all you like, but badge engineering drove GM into bankruptcy twice... People want their Chevy to look NOTHING like a Buick or other brand. And ys GM has all the "tools", but they also had all the tools to not have the ignition issues they have now.
