Meh. Just not enough power. If I sacrifice my everyday thing, and you really sacrifice that buying a roadster, I want at least it to be faster than my daily driving family car. But Miata is way slower than BMW 330i. If I will buy a sports car it must be fast and nice sounding. Miata doesnt have...
This is a little more powerfull than ZR1 and almost $30 000 cheaper. And I bet it will handle better than ZR1. That's a bargain.
We rally have a Killer cars season! Charger/Challenger Hellcat, ATS-V, CTS-V, Z/28, C7 Z06.
HKS is already selling SuperCharged 270 hp BRZ. Why not give what people want right from the dealership?
It's just an idea. I miss any american car in the "light RWD car" segment :(
What guys do you think about this. Let's make light RWD Coupe. And put there 2.3 EB from Mustang and 2.7L V6 EcoBoost from F-150? Aim it in to the BMW 2 series, Audi S3, Audi TT, Hyundai Genesis, Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ.
A lot of sources are claiming that s550 will be "400 lbs lighter" than s197. For Ford it is best to compare EB weight vs Mustang GT not the V6 to get those "400 lbs". Hyundai genesis 2.0 T weights only 50 lbs less than 3.8L V6.

My worst case scenario for EB:
Curb weight: 1490KG
Power 310 BHP
0-60: 5.3s
Best case scenario:
Curb weight: 1405 KG
Power 335 BHP
0-60 4.9s
It's just a calculation made in http://www.torquestats.com/modified/index.php?pid=calculator
We just don't know how much lighter the EB will be and...
Welcome there SouthernCyclone.
Ford Focus RS had 2.5 L EcoBoost engine with 305HP. That engine with just ecu tune gave 350 HP. Few intake/exhaust mods + ecu and people were able to hit 400 HP. In power we trust, brother.
