  1. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

This isn't goodbye... It's see you later
  2. Keyfob range very short. Not battery issue. BCM?

I've tried putting the key in that slot under the cup holder. I think that just functions similar to an NFC and allows the car to function even if the battery in the fob is dead. It did not change the behavior of the fob or car when I am trying to use the fob to lock it from the outside. As...
  3. Keyfob range very short. Not battery issue. BCM?

I think it's all contained in the BCM. Anyone have any insight to this?
  4. Keyfob range very short. Not battery issue. BCM?

Yep. I’ve heard of this, and tried it. Nothing changed.
  5. Rear end clicking sound gone - Thrust washer on hub

I’m finding FR3Z-7G273-A as the part for the rear Thrust Washers. Not sure if fronts are the same part number. See info on this post: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/do-you-actually-need-the-axle-thrust-washers.170513/post-3461837
  6. Keyfob range very short. Not battery issue. BCM?

Has anyone experienced this? I've narrowed it down to probably a BCM issue. Symptoms: Cannot lock or unlock car, open trunk, or activate the alarm using the keyfob when more than 10 feet away and in direct line of sight of the front end of the car. If the key is in my pocket and my body is...
  7. What's broke so far?

searched and couldn’t find many reported cases of this. So necro-posting here to document. Passenger side parking brake cable snapped. I’ve only tightened it two times, 69k miles on the car. After it broke, there’s zero tension on parking brake handle. Ordered new parts for left and right side...
  8. Ford Mustang Extended Warranty - $25 over Dealer Cost- PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE!!

Just an FYI, Florida has a law that requires extended service plans to only be purchased from dealerships in the state, and the price has to be MSRP or higher. You cannot purchase from an out-of-state dealer unless that dealer is licensed to sell the plans in Florida, and even then they must...
  9. What is this suspension squeaking noise?

@evotriox88 did you ever get this resolved? Mine started doing the same within the last two months. Stock GTPP suspension. Coming from the rear exactly like yours. Mostly happens on uneven ground at very low speeds.
  10. What’s in your trunk?

Basic toolkit with wheel lug sized socket, torque wrench, several large 'hospital' blankets, at times a jack (def during road trip), and some microfiber rags with detail spray. I own one of those lithium jump start boxes, but I'm afraid of storing it in the car because of the heat 11.5 months...
  11. Wireless charging kit

I got one of these for a road trip a while back. Holds phone in place and charges it too. https://smile.amazon.com/iOttie-Touch-Wireless-Charge-Mount/dp/B0754NDNT8
  12. Loss of Throttle

I had similar happen when my brake light switch (above the brake pedal) broke and my brake lights stayed on. Computers thought I had my foot on the brakes and cut power. Your switch, or the little rubber pad attached to the pedal that presses the switch, may be dying.
  13. New 6.8L V8 Engine Coming For Mustang in 2022?!

Unifor/Ford agreement from 2016 also has the 6.8L mentioned for the Windsor Engine Plant (WEP), but it was a V10 variety according to the Ford website (Here) Maybe he got confused on which engine goes where, since the 6.8L V10 (Triton) is for the F-Series too.
  14. Thoughts on wraps

Wrapped the roof and mirrors myself using this. 2.5 years in Central Florida, with half the time spent outside in the open parking lot at work and it's holding up perfectly. Great that most of the blemishes disappear after it sits in the sun due to self-healing nature of the vinyl.
  15. would like info / Help

If it's not reading the FOB, it would tell you "No Key Found" on the dash. If this is the case, place the fob in the cup holder and try starting it. Even if the battery is removed from FOB, the cup holder will read the chip and allow it to start.
  16. New hood isn't painted behind fire blanket

I had my hood replaced under warranty too. The dealership had their body shop paint it. They painted the whole thing, but only clear coated the outside portions and about 1/8th inch around edges. I complained and made them redo it (also had fish-eyes popping up, so they did a really shitty job...
  17. Auto headlights, yes or no?

Interesting... This should be filed right up there with the "trunk button above license plate" in the FAQ for new owners.
  18. Flat Rock Assembly Workers on this Site?

Most corporations have "Social Media Policies" that hold their workers accountable for their public presence. The one's I have seen in the retail landscape actually have clauses that state the employer can use 'social media history' as a cause of discipline.
  19. Auto headlights, yes or no?

I keep it on Auto all the time (dealership is the only one to ever touch that switch...). I have noticed that 2018+ cars ALWAYS have their actual headlights on, vs the 2015-2017's only having the tribar DRLs on during the day. Has to be a sensor thing.... Car looks dumb with headlights on during...
