Has anyone else been able to get their dealer to update their ECU? Will calling and telling them you have this specific TSB problem (exhaust mode selection not available) get them just to update it even if they can't recreate it? Or will they only do it if it actually shows up on the instrument...
I wouldn't say this commercial is any confirmation that the new hybrid Mustang will be powered by a V8. That looks just like a 15-17 s550 engine bay it's zooming into. I wouldn't say that it showing up right before the flash of the new hybrid means anything. I just think it's trying to show...
Thanks for the video. But ugh... I'm okay with the side scoops, but the rear deck lid with the tackey red "California Special" lettering just ruins it for me. Sticks out much more in the video than the promo photos. I don't know why they didn't just keep the 16-17 GT/CS all encompassing faux...
I'm actually happy they didn't add the 18+ taillights to the 19 GT350. I also personally think that they should keep the 15-17 taillights on the GT500 as well since they're keeping the 15-17 front lights.
It ruins the overall design harmony imo. The front lights triple LED's are supposed to...
Did you have the TSB done? Regardless, something like this is basically the concern I mentioned in my earlier post. The TSB is going to bring the bumper up closer to the trunk deck lid and some cars will probably start scuffing paint from new contact points being formed.
My concern would be once they fit the bumper correctly, that it'll cause contact points between the bottom of the trunk deck lid and the top of the bumper below it. I know my old 15 GT had issues with that and paint was wearing off certain contact points. If that makes any sense. But those pics...
It only happens once your car warmed up? Or when it was cold? I have a rattle at 3-4k rpms I'm hearing but it's usually only when it's still cold. My dealer says it's the Piston slap but I'm almost inclined to believe it's the valves since I can only hear it in sport mode with the valves open...
Why is everyone all of a sudden so shocked and disappointed that they're retaining the 15-17 headlights? That's one of the few things the teaser clearly confirmed and it's clear they wanted to use the aerodynamic benefits of the GT350 front end.
Just an update on this situation guys. I took the car to the dealership, confirmed the noise and they pulled up an internal note (not a TSB) that might be this issue. It reads:
SSM 46173 - Some 2016-2017 GT350 Mustangs Might Exhibit Piston Rattle From Idle to 3000
Some 2016-2017 Mustang GT350...
Yeah I know! Poor dude only committed a felony and wrecked into a someone's house! Damn those cops and firefighters. Who do they think they are? Doing their jobs and relying on their training/tactics to keep safe! RIDICULOUS!
Thanks for all the replies guys. Yeah the glove box area was one of the first areas I checked. Whether open or closed or pressure is being applied to the glove box or the manual storage area, the rattle is there. It definitely *sounds* like it's coming from behind the glove box area. But like...
Hey guys. I searched around the threads and saw a couple people mentioning similar sounding issues in some random threads but not a solution or even replies to their issues. Does anyone have or had a type of rattling sound coming from the passenger side interior of their GT350?
It's only when...
I'm not doubting that it serves a purpose. But still doesn't change the fact it looks tacky and weird (imo). Maybe the angle of the photo makes it look worse then it really is.
Yeah... What the heck is up with that rear diffuser? It looks horrible. Why does the center of it hang so much lower than the sides? It just makes it look incomplete or like there's pieces missing...
I can't see a GT350 that stickers for 57k+ new drop down to 30-35k used in the near future. Boss 302s stickered for 42-45k new and are still going for 30-35k used. High 40s would be realistic. Maybe low 40s for a 2016 without the track pack. But hey if you find one for 30k props to you.
Great rendering. But am I missing something in the video that makes us think the front end is blacked out like that? I'm curious how it would look if it was body colored.
