  1. Buyer Beware Carbon Parts - Icon Composites

Wow -- what piece is that? I can't tell from the pics. Whatever it is, it is horrible though. From the pics it looks like fender flares -- yet they don't sell fender flares for the Mustang -- or at least I couldn't find them. Did you complain to them and did they offer to replace it? Could...
  2. Free The Horse

It's molded in. I'm waiting for Rousch or Bullit type grille to become available to clean it up. This is just in the meantime.
  3. Steeda's 2018 Front Fascia - Photos Inside

I am sorry, but if enthusiasts can't immediately tell the difference between this and stock, I have to question the point of it.
  4. Free The Horse

Just playing around with some PlastiDip and the PP grille to black out the "corral" around the horse. Not sure if I am going to smoke or gunmetal the rest or not, but I will live with this for a bit and see how I like it over time. I do like how the horizontal lines make it look wider...
  5. 18 MY Saleen front end unveiled

Yes, that's me. Figured I would see what a saleen design could look like. Never imagined they would release that crap.
  6. 18 MY Saleen front end unveiled

I don't even know where to start on this one. Did they do this last night. While drunk? There is no shape to anything -- it is all flat with generic cutouts. Very messy cutouts as well (especially the inner edge of the outer openings). And what is with the red line in the grille -- why not carry...
  7. Why doesn't the PP2 package have a square wheel setup?

It might have something to do with the sidewall. I was speaking with the guys that supplied wheels to viper race teams some time back (I know, different application/audience, but still...) and they did 0.5" wider rear wheels as well. This was specified by the race teams. Since the fronts...
  8. Steeda Q850 (Q-Series) 2018 Mustang Front Fascia

Man, that is worse than the stock bumper, but I am probably biased :D. And I sure hope they fix the fitment/hood alignment issues.
  9. 2018 Magnetic Pony Package

I think I am going to wait for a Bullit grille as I think it will go very well with the windows. Though I some other options I am hoping to make happen.
  10. 2018 Magnetic Pony Package

Thanks. They had a Ruby with the pony package, but I thought the chrome bits were too much and I didn't like it. It looks great on the magnetic though - quite elegant. If I were able to do a performance package with the black trim/wheels, I would have done the Ruby. But it wasn't it the cards.
  11. 2018 Magnetic Pony Package

Unique Grille 19" polished wheels Lower side stripe (VERY hard to see on the Magentic) Unique tri-bar pony in decklid Chrome trim around windows Think they have unique mats as well -- pony embroidered. Better residual rates (seriously, my dealer said they lease out cheaper than the regular...
  12. 2018 Magnetic Pony Package

I really wasn't either, but in person, it isn't as noticeable as I would expect (with the magnetic), or as it is in the pics. I think it does add a touch of class as well. But, I have plans for that piece not remaining that way..... :D
  13. 2018 Magnetic Pony Package

Honestly, I was fully expecting to get a Ruby Red MT, but the Pony package really made the magnetic look great and the 10spd AT is fantastic! So I walked out with this and couldn't be happier (well... except for a bigger motor... :-D ): Will try and get better images when time opens up...
  14. Dear Ford, For Your Consideration

Yes, in essence. With the Coyote and an MT. I kept the greenhouse to show it could be done (and windows are damn hard to draw convincingly from scratch). But, it was surprising to me how much similarities in overall shape that KIA took from Ford (though they all "take inspiration" from each...
  15. Dear Ford, For Your Consideration

Yes. I did it off a 4 door to begin with, so it would have the correct proportions and be more realistic of a final vehicle (the greenhouse and wheel base were left untouched). This way, it wouldn't be just be a "stretched" Mustang, which wouldn't work in real life due to the dramatically...
  16. Time to move on

Umm.... not to drag this out, but he was commenting on the spelling of there (instead of their).
  17. Dear Ford, For Your Consideration

One other thing to think about -- adding a 4 door option might actually help the Mustang get better and ensure its long-term viability. Here is a good article (even though I don't agree with the conclusions) on how the Camaro got much better because it shares the platform with the ATS and CTS...
  18. Dear Ford, For Your Consideration

Don't forget (probably most importantly) bland, pedestrian styling and poor chassis dynamics. I don't want boring econobox sedan that happens to go fast. I want a cool, bad ass car that happens to have 4 doors. With the current trend of designing beautiful sedans (Tesla, the Germans, and now...
  19. Dear Ford, For Your Consideration

Exactly my point. The M3 and M4 Gran Coupe prove the market is viable. The ENTIRE reason they split the 3 series into 3\4 was too be able to offer ANOTHER 4 door option using the same chassis. And guess what, sales increased. And I already showed there is more market for a 4 door than a 2 door...
  20. Dear Ford, For Your Consideration

I didn't mean to totally underestimate the changes to the S550, but it could be used with minimal changes. Look how VW uses the same basic chassis for cars ranging from the Jetta to the Tiguan. Ford needs to do something else with the S550 to make it viable in the long run. The...
