I bought front pads and rotors at my local dealer. It cost me an extra 80 bucks. When the mechanic went to put them on one pad and one rotor was damaged....dealer got me new parts in 3 days, instead of making it difficult, because I do business with him and he wants me to do more business with...
Ford required my 5.2 be torn down by the dealer. They determined bearing failure, cam damage, head damage....cause was undetermined. They warrantied it ...new long block.
All motors with forged pistons will make some piston noise....customers complaining is exactly why no manufacturers like to use forged pistons....this is why real car guys can't have nice things...
How do you know that? Seems some say they are tty and others say no. CJ Pony parts Steeda and LMR claim they are tty...people who reuse them claim they are not...
Checked with my local dealer today...there are nearly 190 of those in stock from Ford...they list them for over 130.00...I got mine from Tasca for about 60.00 plus shipping, so 70.00
I had my oil changed last week, brought my filter with me...turned out the dealer had one and didn't use mine...Im thinking that dealers may be holding onto the filters they have for customers that have oil changes done there...
