We went with the Ford Performance Spec, -1.55 front, -2.00 rear. I believe that's as far as we could go without camber bolts or other changes. I thought about it, but not a ton of clearance with tires (305 30 20, 285 30 20) and didn't want to have to worry about spacers. I figured if we didn't...
We went with the Ford Performance performance alignment specs, rounded to -1.55, -2.0 and installed both stabilizer bars on the softer setting (outside holes). No weird handling characteristics. I’ve been thinking of trying the stiffer setting in front. Interested in how much more understeer...
We almost settled on a square set-up...after a lot of research, 285 35 19 (19x10 40) seemed to be the sweet spot. 275 40 might be OK, but I think would be better in 18 rather than 19. Could go with 275 35 19, but no reason to.
Installed one of these kits on my son’s 19 GT premium last Dec...handles much better now. He runs good summer tires (MPS4S in 285 30 20 and 305 30 20) and went with the FP performance alignment specs (still pretty conservative).
Here it is after polishing, touch-ups and minor adjustments. I looked more closely at how it fits around the belly pan, wheel well liner, etc., and although it doesn't look factory stock, it works well, and is quite secure. In fact, there were only two screws from the factory set-up that were...
Just installed the MP Concepts bumper. Still need to do a bit of tweaking around the hood to straighten that gap, but it's close to being as good as it's going to be. Then it's back to the body shop for polishing and touchups. I decided not to have the slivers on the outside of the signal lights...
Bumper is still at the paint shop. Here's a photo of the bumper on the car before we removed it. Overall, the fit is pretty good. It's a lower than I thought it would be. The car has the Ford Performance Track Handling Package and 285 30 20 up front, so about an inch of drop. Son will have to be...
Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of that area, and the bumper is at the paint shop.
Gentle heat will allow me to bend the polypropylene (I tried it on a scrap piece), but the 90 degree angle on the winglet would make that approach tricky and the heat changes the appearance of the surface...
It bolted up to the car, and fit fairly well. One area that bothers me is the winglets do not fit tightly around the wheel arch, especially noticeable towards the top. I will need to pull them in and secure them somehow. Double sided tape won’t hold. Ideas?
I’m thinking about leaving the mesh grills unpainted. With all the sharp edges and flexing I think paint would eventually start flaking off. What has everyone else done with these?
It went together quickly and looks very straight. The upper edge looks slightly warped in the photo...I saw that and ran out to the shop to check...thankfully, an optical illusion. Hopefully the install is as straightforward. Any tips?
We assembled the bumper, and will install it on the car tomorrow. If we’re happy with it, we’ll drive it to a shop to get painted. Are you all leaving the textured pieces bordering the mesh below the turn signals unpainted? The splitter and winglets are faintly textured as well, but since the...
Thank you for the lead. Just looked at their website and saw a photo of a blue '69 GTO sitting in their service area...I'm a Pontiac guy, so that's a very good sign! BTW, I appreciate the tool chest. Perfect for the stuff I like to keep organized but use very infrequently (tools for tube...
