Whoops typo. To my knowledge it must be changed. In order to control the 2018+ buttons, it needs a 2018+ clockspring. Your current clockspring won’t have any idea, even with programming, about new buttons, like the pony button, because they simply didn’t exist until the refresh.

OP, there is a spreadsheet link in this guide. You need to customize the As-Built Data at the bottom with all the options listed at the top of the sheet. You need to do this for the SCCM (this is what will flip your buttons to correct positions) and the IPC (for mileage and the MyColor settings)
