Good move. I got the enthusiast kit, and while its a noticeable difference, I still plan on doing the vertical links and toe links at a later date. I would have recommended the Ultimate kit if funds allowed at the start, so I think you made a good move. I can't speak for the vert/toe links, but...
No play in wheel. I guess I'll take it into a shop and see what they can identify. I was planning on doing 800hp half shafts sometime next year but I guess I'll move that up a bit and push suspension upgrades out a bit.
You're math is off. 1.6qts is ~51 Oz, plus your 4 Oz of modifier is 55 Oz.
You don't divide the 2 quarts by 1.6, you multiply 32 oz/qts by 1.6qts to get oz instead of quarts.
Here's my noise. Happens when starting/stopping. Also can recreate at low speeds (1st/2nd gear) going from no throttle/idle to very low throttle. In the video I'm riding around in 1st gear at idle, right around 1000rpm, going up to maybe 1200 rpm, you hear a creak noise almost like spinning a...
Good info, thank you. I know the MPSS were the gold standard before the PS4S. I'll probably give them a shot, you think I'll still be "grip positive" in the dry going from 275 PS4S to a 305 MPSS? The note about durability is nice too.
And then, running a 19x10 et 35 and 19x11 et 50 should be...
Yeah the MPSS come in 305/35r19 so I was debating them, but I cant get over how much I love the PS4Ss. I'm scared to have anything less in the rain, and realistically I need to get a cheap set of wheels for winter also bc the last 2 years I've ran either the P Zeros or PS4Ss. I'm in the south...
Starting with a TL;DR because this is LONG.
TL;DR: Unsure about going to a noticeably larger staggered setup or slightly larger square setup from what I currently am running. Are Velgens low pressure cast wheels cost justified/do I need to worry about cracking a wheel? Should I just go...
I thought the same about my PZeros (15k+) hence why I stated how fast they wear towards the end of life. Its remarkable the difference...the last 2 or 3 /32 just fall off basically. You've probably got less time than you think.
As for fuel economy, I haven't noticed a difference with the...
I'm in SC, so similar yet slightly colder weather in the winter.
First off, the PZeros I had felt decent, would spin a decent amount if it was under 70deg outside though (275/40r19 in rear, base GT with PP), or if it was raining, or if I did a decent launch from a stop. I got 12k miles out of...
I'm at 23k miles on my rears, MP4Ss on my '17. I'm getting close to my wear bars in the rears, front still have lots of life left. Some aggressive street driving, but always with traction control on so not a ton of continuous spinning.
I got 12k out of my pzeros before they were smooth as a...
Mine came from the factory like this, I'd love an answer too bc the dealership blew me off and never returned my call when I asked them to repair it the day i bought my car.
You're right. And even on bigger trips, I doubt I'd exceed 200lbs. I've packed for a 2 week trip and been under 50lbs. I'm overthinking this a fair amount I'm pretty sure.
Yeah, I'm just having those pre-purchase jitters about "oh crap, what about this one random time in 5 years"....where the answer is just drive the wife's car. Lolol
Mostly worried about what if I was going on a trip where I have myself+passenger +200lbs of luggage (for arguements sake).
Or like I just got married, we hauled like 30 cases of beer in the trunk, plus a passenger. Would I rub in the odd "daily driver" task, even though they're few and far...
At what point (either how many inch drop or what spring weights, or a combo) do I have to start worrying about having a full car that's lowered?
I'm thinking of going with either Steeda Progressives or Ultralite linears on Koni Yellows/Steeda ProAction adjustables/Ford Performance Track. But...
My mustang is my daily. It's been pretty cold since I got the bushing supports on, so haven't gotten many good launches in to try them out. Mostly just spinning tires. It was warmer last week when I had the braces on, and I could tell a huge difference. I cant wait to have them both on.
You're not installing the bolt during this portion of the install, you're trying to get a two piece collar/support around the base of the bushing. So you can move the bushing some to help with clearance issues on the tight (towards center of vehicle) side.
Send me a message if you have some issues. Again, the thing I learned that "changed" everything was that the bushing is actually solid rubber, there is no metal through the center of that bolt hole (even though it looks like there is). You can flex the assembly to the side using a long lever arm...
