  1. #UCK ME - ouch

100% agreement. I had a '98 GT (130k miles) prior to current 2019 & a 2005 Expedition (which I just replaced w/a new F150) & it had almost 200k on it. And, like you, my current GT has more traffic inflicted small nicks, chips & scratches (body & windshield) than both the older vehicles combined...
  2. Should I sell mine?

Not sure what has been printed downstream of this post, but C&D also had an earlier comparison of the 2019 Level II & GT350. While the GT350 has better OA lap times @ Grattan ("nearly two seconds quicker"), the Level II had both better braking & handling. It also performed better on the skid...
  3. 2019 Front Grill Color Change

The 2019 PP2 is a much lighter car due to FoMoCo only using 47,000 fasteners & 21,000 retainers. The lighter weight is especially noticeable during 1/4 mile runs (increased weight transfer) & skid pad applications. If you look closely at the photo, you will see that the front of the 2019 model...
  4. Perceptions of Middle-age Men in Mustangs

    BINGO!!! :like:
  5. 285/35/20 Front with 315/35/20 rears lowered possible?

FWIW ... 2019 Level II w/10.5x19 & 305/30 (F) & 11.0x19 & 325/30 (R). When using 20" rims, it may come down to the offset & OA diameter difference between yours & the Level II rim/tire combo. If I recall correctly, the Level II rims were the widest ever offered on any Ford produced Mustang (not...
  6. 2020 GT500 Beith custom steering wheel

Any plans for your OE steering wheel?
  7. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

And you are 100% correct. Don't listen to someone who is old, grouchy, senile & retired!!!
  8. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

It sounds like you have the "Star Wars" dash. Being "old school", I do not not. Check pages 66-68 in the 2019 owner's manual.
  9. Perceptions of Middle-age Men in Mustangs

You make that sound like it's bad thing. Seriously tho, over the decades, I have owned British, German & Japanese sports cars in addition to five (5) Mustangs (+ other miscellaneous sedans, trucks & SUVs). And all of them have been modified in some way, but I have NEVER upgraded any of...
  10. Being denied warranty work because of an H-pipe.

I have not taken the time to see if someone else correctly responded to your original text, but hopefully this will help: Dealers cannot deny a warranty claim only on the basis of modified &/or non-OE (aftermarket) parts on the vehicle. Technically, they can, but the burden of proof is on the...
  11. Who's had a clutch slave cylinder failure?

Had clutch go to floor w/no return just outside of Flagstaff (AZ) in June 2020 @ 25,500 miles. Had to start car IN 2nd gear & managed to drive it to dealer. Under basic warranty, dealer fixed everything, but did have problem 'burping' the clutch master cylinder. Prior to & afterwards, I had...
  12. Flat Rock down AGAIN next week! (Week commencing 4th Oct)

Mine took 19 weeks from order to delivery back in 2018. IMO, it was worth every minute of the wait. Whether around the block, or cross country, it is an absolute delight to drive. :like:
  13. #UCK ME - ouch

The mere fact that you own a 2021 GT tells me that you most certainly are NOT "too old for that now"!!! Getting older is a fact of life, but getting old is merely a state of mind!!!
  14. #UCK ME - ouch

I agree. Ditto w/my (recently sold) '98 GT & (about to be traded in) 2005 Expedition as compared to my 2019 GT. I have been told that the (possible) reason for the S550 taking such a beating is that it is the most aero of any previous Mustang. And that, due to the closer proximity of the air...
  15. '22 California Special getting some changes

Ford did the same thing w/the PP2 wheels. They are "Dark Tarnish" when sold w/the PP2 package, but "Matte Black" when the same wheel is purchased thru Ford Performance Parts.
  16. '22 California Special getting some changes

And never on convertibles. Even the four (4) [original] GT350 convertibles built at Shelby American during the 1966 model year had non-functioning side scoops.
  17. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

I will not make any predictions about the future selling price of the PP2, but I have no doubt that, as time passes, the PP2 will be a much better deal for the average Mustang enthusiast cuz they won't be paying the artificial "premium" for nothing more than the Shelby, Bullitt or Mach 1 dash &...
  18. PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

Don't worry about aero. The "aero curtain" effect is disabled on the PP2 & any other Mustang w/305 OE front tires. Just a theory here ... but I wonder if the Mach 1 front fender lips were installed to satisfy some obscure state vehicle code?
  19. Is it better to buy an actual wheel and tire (used) than buying a spare tire kit

If you have the Brembo brakes, then, by all means, get the AA spare. If not, the OE Ford spare will work fine. While a plug kit is not a bad idea, it will not be of much help when you have a complete tread/sidewall separation @ only 6,000 miles. One other point when utilizing a spare, purchase a...
