Smashed a curb and broke my PP2 wheel, ruined the bearing too. Swapped both hubs for Ford Performance hubs and referred to this thread for the install. I never connected this thread, however, to the on/off throttle low speed tick I had at low speeds and especially parking lot driving...

I just went back to 5w20 after several fills of 5w30, I am shocked at how much quieter it is now. When the motor was new, it seemed like the 5w30 was quieter.

Funny you should ask, as of 5 minutes ago, I do. Fit and finish is better than factory. I think it goes pretty well with everything else on the car.

Been there done that. No paint codes for wheels, no touch up paint, no help. Even called Ford directly.

I've asked before but I'll ask again before try for "close enough". Has anyone found a suitable touch up paint for the Dark Tarnish Stainless wheels? Surely some of you have found the curb rash you've no doubt inflicted on those beautiful wheels unacceptable....

Nice ride! I would guess the popping just might be the spring settling or clocking. If guess it will go away, have someone turn it while you are outside with the hood up and listen.

Agreed, I love the Ventus, for the price I think they are outstanding. Decent wear on my pp2 and just as good on my last car, a 335 that put down tons of torque. The Michelin are just better all around, and the do look better too. Worth the price if you want the best.

As nameuser said, the are factory pp2. The color is "dark tarnish stainless" per Ford. There is definitely something about them that makes them really stand out. Also, for the moment the rear are 305/35/19 Pilot Super Sport, the front are 305/30/19 (stock-sized) Ventus V12. My front Pilot...

They are held on with the existing push pins, 3m tape runs the length, and some self tapping screws on the bottom, so yes. I actually added a few extra slightly-larger self tapping screws to make them even more secure. The holes would be totally invisible if the extensions were removed because...

Added Drake side skirt extensions, works pretty well with the pp2 splitter and Air Design hood vents imo...
