Yeah, and those race engines you speak of aren’t expected to go 150K, 200K or more while providing good reliability.
So, no thanks I’ll take a more conservative break in approach as all my engines have gone way into the 6 digit zone without any failures.
Behind that bumper cover is a crash bar and if damaged will add a lot of cost. You may not be able to asses hidden damage until disassembly takes place.
I pull the dipstick out in the space in front of the strut bar and behind the large round part of the sound tube contraption. Putting the stick back in I go through the same area and reach my hand behind the strut bar and grab the stick to help feed it back into the tube a few inches at a time...
I’ve only got one small rock chip on fender in front of the rear tire. Found that the color does a good job of hiding the Ford touch up paint I used to fix it.
My only complaint about the color on my car is that the drivers door appears to be a shade lighter than the rest of the car when...
It’s nice to sit and dream about all these expensive cars to dither our money away on, but the fact of the matter is most of us has neither the skills or the place to safely push any of these cars to their limits including the Mustang. So save that extra money and invest it in an early...
People have reported having the tick before the first oil change and others have gotten it after several oil changes. I agree it doesn’t matter much either way. If you’re destined to get it you’re going to get it no matter when you change the oil.
It’s just really annoying that Ford hasn’t...
All this discussion got me to looking. Checked it last night hot after sitting about 20 min. Just barely touching line at the top of the cross hatch marks. Checked it again cold this morning and the level is about the width of that line higher. So not a significant difference.
The morning I...
No, that is a steady occurring tick which is probably related to the direct injection or valve train parts. I see you've taken that ugly engine cover off. A big reason it’s there is to dampen the direct injection noises that are new to the 18 & 19. The pre direct injection cars didn’t have such...
I had a perfect MT82 in my 2012 GT so my trade for the 2019 A10 was based more on my personal age related need (approaching 69) to get out of the stick and the much improved engine and ride of the 19 S550 over the 12 S197. So far I love the A10 and the only quirk I’ve noticed is a slight very...
I've been pretty happy with my 19 so far. It's unbelievable how much of an improvement it is over my 12 Brembo GT. only mechanical issue thus far is it is currently in the shop having the strut bearings replaced due to a clicking sound it was making in turns at parking lot speeds, the driver's...
I had the same problem with my CJ Pony ones. The tape stuck fine to the car but came loose from the flap itself. I solved the problem by using 3M weatherstrip contact adhesive between the flap and the tape. Has stayed stuck ever since.
By the way the CJ Pony front flaps are OK, the rear flaps...
