    So short answer, it’s not plug and play. You will have to tap into the existing wires in the door near the door handle. Buy some T-Tap connectors which are very easy to use and self-explanatory once you see them.

    Yes the 3rd pic is how I got the alert and ground wire from the cabin into the door. I forget if this was the driver or passenger side, but I found this was the easiest way route the wires.     I paid $82.45 total. I purchased lights for a Ford Escape and they worked out great. I already had wire, etc. I tapped into the existing mycolor harness in the door, drilled a hole for the light underneath the door handle and glued it in place. You wouldn’t know it wasn’t like that from the factory.

    I would recommend shopping around. I bought two light harnesses from eBay for a Ford Edge. They were new, better priced than the mustang ones and they came with two separate mycolor lights on one harness, so now I will have two extra lights to put somewhere else if I want.
