Hi...i have 2 questions...
1-Is there much difference between quite mode on the OE ford exhaust vs the Corsa or other aftermarket ones?
2-For those that wired to a switch such that quiet mode keeps the valve fully closed all the time, even under WOT...has anyone exprerienced any issues?
Thanks
What a joke ford customer service was...they totally wasted my time (alot of it). I did contact them and started conversing with an agent. She was very helpful, I explained that the dealer had already gotten an estimate (ridiculously high) and that i had gotten one for about half that much...
Good idea...i will see if i can get the quote from the dealer and ask about the regional rep. Crazy thing is that i specifically asked if there is someone i can escalate this to and they said no. Figures.
I remember when fords slogan was "Quality is Job 1" ...apparently not any more. I have a 2016 ecoboost convertible. In 2019 (just after the 3 yr was up) i saw the hood bubbling. The dealer took photos but rejected it as a paint issue due to it being out of the 3 yr. It the time i didnt...
I have a US 2016 ecoboost with the HID head lights. The headlight are just OK but the high beams are terrible. I live on some dark country roads and always looking out for deer and such. My toyota brights are incredible...these are so lame i have to double check that i have my brights on all...
so what about this...on the f150 forscan spreadsheet it lists the following options..
727-01-02 xxx* xx ANC Right Front Mixing & ANC Rear Mixing
4=RF: power Amp right & Rear: no mixing
It seems to say that value 4 would be to mix the ANC signal into the rf speaker but not the rears...if...
I have a 2016 ecoboost conv. premium with the 9 speaker (no sub) setup. I want to add subwoofer by taping into the rear speaker signals. I need to keep the ANC (Noise canceling)...i dont care so much about the Fake engine sounds but i think they are somehow related. I have read in a few...
First some background...I am mid 50s...have hyper sensitive ears. Been in pro audio manufacturing for years. My hearing is not degraded as most my age, actually getting more sensitive over time. I have full frequency range but with hyper sensitivity. The highs, if not properly balanced can...
just removed the amp on my 2016 ecoboost prem. and installed a new amp. I used the audio turn on signal on pin 1 of connector 2285b....i installed a PAC low voltage audio enable relay as well. IT works ... turns the amp on fine, turing off is another issue..it does turn of, sometimes...
yes. according to the ford docs for MY 2016...Anc 2.3 only ESE 2.3 and 5.2 See below...
ANC - 2.3L
ANC is an audio system feature that eliminates a certain range of low frequency engine noise within the passenger compartment typically induced under wide open throttle or heavy part-throttle...
Mine is a convertible and the a pillar cover wraps around the top of the windshield and requires removing the visors.
I am putting in a two way component and want the tweeters down in the door where the 3" are and simply want to disconnect the tweets in the a pillar.
I have a 2016...i want to disconnect the tweeters in the A pillars without pulling the a pillars off. According to the wiring diagram these are wired in Parrallel with the 3.5" door speakers. The wires for the tweets branch off the door speaker wires somewhere. Does anyone know where those...
Hi all...I have a 2016 ecoboot premium convertible (9 speaker, no sub). This weekend i plan on doing...
1-Remove Amp and replace with aftermarket
2-Put 2 way components up front (do nothing with the rears).
After reading this thread please let me know if i have anything wrong here...
A-Since...
I am interested in the same info....on the large (LARGE) sticky thread, someone measured and I am looking to see if i understand it correctly...
He said...

So i took my door panel off and went on a measuring spree:
Front 6.5" Speaker
Mounting hole: 5.75" diameter...
so with the polks installed you had only about a qtr inch?
I know that some folks take the old speaker and rip out the guts and use the outside ring as a kind of spacer...adding about an inch of clearance. Did you do that or mount them directly to the main plastic brace that the old speakers...
I am considering using the back speaker locations for 2 6.5" subs. Has anyone measured the clearance behind the speaker .... ie how deep a speaker can i put in there?
I looked all over the forums but cant find anyone that has measured it.
